If that was true the TV broadcasting industry would be very different. But to stick to the subject of the adult section of the Sky EPG the top slot there is currently valued at £3m and the bottom slot at £50,000. You can see why the lower channels tend to have cheaper call prices.

In terms of viewers the differential in the adult section between top and bottom is much less than in for example the general entertainment section, because the adult section is not that big a section and that reduces the number of people who won't bother to look all the way through.

RLC were paying for 24 hours of airtime to broadcast on channel 932, rent of channel slot etc, or however it works, obviously if they ceased broadcasting for 24 hours on 932, they wouldn't be paying for 24 hours of airtime, the airtime money saved from not broadcasting on 932 during the day could then be used to for daytime airtime of 901. RLC would only use channel 901 when Playboy wasn't using it at night just like ChatGirl did . The channel name for 901 "The Adult channel" would remain the same just like it did when ChatGirl used it .
According to what people say on here the call volumes should be greater on 901 to that of 932, so any additional airtime outlay could be offset by not paying for daytime airtime on 932 and increased revenue from a more lucrative 901 channel slot .

Obviously RLC don't think so or they would probably have done it when they stopped broadcasting and paying for the 24 hour 932 slot,
I assume it's still possible for RLC to broadcast during the day on 901, as it just shows adverts since ChatGirl finished, unless the company's that broadcast adverts on 901 have a long contract with Playboy .

No, not true.

RLC had a contract for the rent of channel 932 as a whole. If they ceased broadcasting for 24 hours on that channel, they would still have had to pay the same rent regardless.

Look at it this way. If I rent a shop and sell groceries 7 days a week it will not save me any money if I decide to close the shop on Sundays. The monthly rent will still be the same.

Yes i know they had a contract with Playboy to broadcast on 932 for 24 hours, Playboy is the licence holder of all the RLC channels, Playboy is the one that is ultimately responsible for what RLC broadcasts on all their channels .

Contracts come and go, they come to a end and are renewed etc,
I can't see any reason why if RLC asked playboy if they could use 901 in the daytime and not use 932 , and if both party agreed that this could not have been done and the contract changed
Both channels run on the same frequency, RLC would still be paying for the same overall air time, Playboy would still be receiving the rent for the same amount of hours etc from RLC
All RLC and Playboy would need to do is change the contract between them .

I agree with you.

But.... Playboy may well have wanted more money for 901 than for 932 and if RLC thought the increase was too much it might have been hard to strike a deal.

Wonder why they are looking for new talent after dumping a channel and 90 available shifts per month?

Concerning this recruiting thing, maybe even more RLC girls have left or will be leaving than we know about, so they haven't or soon will not have enough girls to cover the 3 remaining channels, so are in the midst of a recruitment drive ? .

There was a new girl on with Thai Marder for a short while yesterday afternoon.
A blonde, but never mind you'll never see her again.
Looked a bit uncomfortable without a phone, while Thai was yacking away beside her, but it shows the conveyor belt is still in motion.
