I didn't managed to watch the whole match; only saw brief shots on Sky Sports News of both Balotelli & Shelvey rowin with each other at a corner. Even at full time, down the tunnel, both had to be separated by team-mates & coachin staff

So, I'm just wonderin. Was the row somethin or nothin? Was Balotelli provoked by Shelvey or vice-visa?

I'd like to know that myself as well. Without knowing facts I would bet it was just a bit of arguing between the two which lets be honest happens in every game. I reckon it's been made a headline just because it's Balotelli, i'm no liverpool fan obviously but the journos over here are obsessed with him, he's been in the papers too much since he came back to england and not actually done anything worth reading about, he swapped a shirt and sky sports banged on about it for a couple of days, they're desperate. I'm not surprised he was so pissed off over here the first time round

Shelvey apparently did a head butt gesture and Balotelli went down as if hit. So Shelvey had a go at him for taking a dive and trying to get him sent off, although a strict referee could have sent him off anyway, just for motioning a head butt.

So City out of Capital One Cup and picked up several injuries last night Pellegrini probably has a job atm to even probably put a side together for Sunday I suspect!! I suppose you could say the same for both Manchester teams. As for Newcastle that has to be about their best performance so far this season. I expect Pardew still has a little way to go yet to totally winning over the fans, but I have to say the youngsters he picked last night did a super job for him. It's possible it could be the only trophy Newcastle might have a real chance at winning.

Some good ties in the quarter finals but really do think the tie of the round has to be Bournemouth entertaining Liverpool

Terry was great player. I think he played for Leeds for much of his club career, and was of course a great player for Wales' national team.
I think he once scored a vital goal that put Wales into the Quarter Finals of the old style European championship KO Tournament in 1975 or 1976. and scored one in a famous home international win over England in Cardiff too.

Am I right?

Blackpool fans totally pissed off with the way the club is being run by the Oyston family. They were not too bothered about the sacking of Belgian manager, Jose Riga with the team rooted to the bottom of the table though he did only have a senior squad of 8 players days before the championship began. What particularly annoys them is he has been replaced by a manager who was sacked by his club just 10 days before and with that former team just one place above Blackpool. Hardly inspiring. Like many owners the Oystons are purely business driven and have no real passion for football. Not necessarily a problem if they don't interfere with the football side of things, but when they do...

Ha they wont be wasting it on a car park. It will be a housing estate and further extension to the business park.
