RE: HDMI TO DVI
A converter would give you HD just fine but DVI doesn't carry any sound signals. If you have your Freesat box connected to a hifi or surround sound amp that's not an issue. If you wish to get audio to your TV then use the analogue white/red outputs that should be on the back of your Freesat box and hopefully the same connectors on your TV for audio in.As the DVI carries no sound then the TV should source it from the audio leads you have connected but that's not always 100% the case. You should at least have a great picture though! Not really sure what you mean but it should be a twin RCA lead with a Red and a White coaxial connecter at each end from audio out on your Freesat box to audio in on your TV.

Ah,I see! That being the case you need a scart to RCA adapter to connect to a spare scart socket. It's either a little black box with scart on one end and yellow, white and red RCA connectors on the other,of which you just need to connect the white and red ones to your TV.Or it's the same but with a metre or so of lead between the scart and RCA which is a few quid dearer. It all depends whether you have an RCA twin lead spare then you can just buy the connector. It usually has an input/output switch on it which you need to switch to output to get sound to your TV.Hopefully one of the scarts on your box is spare. If not there is even a connector for this which 'piggybacks' anything you have connected via scart but still gives you composite video and stereo audio outputs.
