RE: New channel launch
I find it quite insulting that ETV only seem to be interested in broadcasting what will effectively be an alnight tease show. Like we haven't already got enough of them already.
They should never have agreed to this ofcom farce, either broadcast the type of hot show you've done previously or get the fuck off our SKY EPG and come back when you've got something good to actually offer us such as using the oversea's licence loophole.
If you are unable to obtain this then try again at a later date once the coast is clear or the ofcom rules have changed by some small miracle. You'd think they would have learned this mistake from their previous venture.

I think ETV are currently doing a promotion on their web site, but don't quote me, where you can watch some videos for free, and you don't have to become a member. I'm a member of the site, as I foolishly gave them some money once out of curiosity (don't we all! LOL), and at present I can watch 20 videos for free until March, or something like that. The reason for being so vague are the shows are not that good. From the few, that I could be bothered to fast forward through, I would say I've seen more on the TV show in the evening.
The site is more for fans who like to see just a little, and I mean little, more of their favorite girls. There is nothing explicit on the site.

It should be a promotion for long-term members who haven't purchased credits in a while. New members would still need to buy at least the basic package, and again I don't think they would get the promotion anyway.
It should also be said that most interesting shows were done by models that are long gone, so the "new" UK public would not even know them.

Out of curiosity, have they ever had any known porn stars on ETV or any girls that do explicit webcams?

RE: New channel launch
One avenue which ETV could have gone down to entice more customers could have been to either team up with Playboy TV or TVX, they could have offered the TV channel as a bonus which could only have been viewed with a subscription, yes I know that it would have remained FTA still on Astra/Hotbird but it would have meant they could have continued the show as it was without having to make any changes which would have satisfied the Ofcom criteria.
They should have only gone down the FTA route on SKY if Ofcom rules changed at some point in the future. Or lastly they could have simply offered the channel with some sort of basic encryption, say only being able to see the channel via some sort of Adult verified method such as making a small payment via credit or debit card to have ETV unblocked.
They should have explored all those options instead of nose diving straight in without consideration to there existing customer base. If this latest move proves to be the start of a demise for ETV then they'll only have themselves to blame.
Edit - ETV has now started broadcasting on SKY, earlier than expected.
