Yup, Blogger sites containing porn will be marked Private on 23 March and blogs created after that may be taken down if they contain porn.
Thanks Goofle.

COMPLAINING MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Quote:Google backs down over Blogger porn rule change
Google has changed its mind about forcing sexually explicit blogs on its Blogger platform to become private.
...
After "a ton of feedback" the firm has decided to continue with its current policy instead, it says.
...
"We've had a ton of feedback, in particular about the introduction of a retroactive change (some people have had accounts for 10+ years), but also about the negative impact on individuals who post sexually explicit content to express their identities.
"So rather than implement this change, we've decided to step up enforcement around our existing policy prohibiting commercial porn."

From this it is clear the Goverment's aim is not to protect children, but to censor the internet. At the moment their is enough to protect children already, their are ISP filters that parents can turn on and also cellular internet providers like EE block by default, and you have to go to and EE shop to verify your ID to get it unblocked for example. So the only way children can access is if they routed their traffic through another country with a VPN, SSH Tunnel etc. If the Government were to force sites (including overseas ones) as proposed I doubt the sites would age verify every country so it would still be easy for children to get around this and in the end it has nothing to do with protecting children and is just a vote winner for the religious right wing types.
This week UK State TV also published this :

However you can see here that this survey is questionable

It looks like the UK Government uses their state media to promote their own agenda just like they do in all the dictatorship countries.
If these new plans were to go ahead it would be catastrophic for sites that get most of their revenue from UK Customers (like this one), and by the looks of it, it will go ahead as now Labour will be forced to do this aswell otherwise it would look bad on them. This new plan seems to go further than the current one which only affects on demand video sites, the new plan seems like it will affect all adult sites like forums, stream sites even if they are overseas.
