RE: Baseball
Yeah, I've been trying to build up my baseball knowledge up a bit (even started learning some of the rules again) as I'd completely tuned out and NFL and College Football had become my main interest and focus over the last five years or so. It seems pretty odd for the Cubs to be talked about in the off season in such a positive way, lol, it was never like that when I got in to American sport and started watching baseball years ago, lol

RE: Baseball
The season opening game is at 1am tonight, and should be a crachker- the Cardinals vs the Cubs. Two of the best pitchers in Baseball on the mound too- Adam Wainwright and Jon Lester.

RE: Baseball
Typical Matt Kemp, 3 RBI's in his first game against Dodgers after his move to San Diego Padres

Adrian Gonzalez's solo homer and Jim Rollins 3 run homer mean we win 6-3 though

RE: Baseball
At least the Dodgers weren't as poor as the Yankees or Brewers.

RE: Baseball
Bit of a misfire from the Cubbies to start, just 5 hits all game isn't really going to cut it but the Cards are still a solid team. Plenty more games to come, lol. I watched most of the Yankees game and was pretty surprised at how poor they were. Talking to a Mets fan at work today and he was very happy with their performance and the Mets win at the Nationals, lol!

Yeah, the Mets are looking alright. Some good talent there. My Tigers are on at 6pm tonight so the fridge is fully stocked. Then, I think I'll see how Pittsburgh look against the Reds at midnight.

RE: Baseball
Might give baseball a go this season. It's the only big American sport ive not properly got into. I've been into NFL for 30yrs now (yes thirty years!!! since 1985) supporting Chicago Bears all that time, been into NHL for 17yrs (since 1998 and have supported Pittsburgh Penguins all that time). In mls support LA Galaxy and have done since beckham's first season 5-6 years ago.

Have watched a baseball game in the USA. I watched New York Yankees in Yankee Stadium which was a memorable experience in 1996, but never got the baseball bug. Think I'll probably support them this season and see if I can get the bug for baseball
