RE: General Election Vote
Clegg is another deceitful scumbag, he spends 5 years colluding with cameron and then tries to make out he was bitterly opposed to all the bad things those nasty Tories did. I would not trust him to tell the truth if his own life depended on it.

feel sorry for clegg when they put the tuition fees in the manifesto it was before clegg mania of the debate he had no fucking chance of getting into power was just the fact that both Cameron and Brown were so fucking poor that he managed to gain seats and held balance of power

but no one remembers it was Labour who created Tuition fees in the first place something they never tell you. least when they put them up they made it so that you have to be earning more 24 grand i think it is when i had to start paying mine off it was at 15,000 a year

they're all worthless imo. Careerist politicians who've never had a proper job. (PR bollocks and working for Daddy's firm etc doesn't count).

Of course they are all the same, the only difference is the bullshit and lies that comes out of their mouths. Do as i say not as i do, why answer a question with one word when you can use a thousand and still not give a straight answer. I have lost count of the amount of times i have watched politicians avoid answering difficult questions, it,s unbelievable.

RE: General Election Vote
probably though as I am in a foul mood right now I could just say that the public get the politicians they deserve ?
Most people are mean, greedy and selfish and eager to blame problems on somebody else and not acknowledge they might be complicit to some degree in some of the problems.
And so they want completely unresolvable and contradictory things which no politican could ever deliver :
More services with less tax.
Higher house prices when they own a house but not when they're trying to buy (Oh and don't build any more new houses near them FFS. Especially for the immigrants who'll have to work at slave wages to do the shitty jobs nobody else wants to do.)
Lower prices without cheap labour/exploitative large corporations screwing somebody down the line ? err doesn't compute.
Compensation for financial ineptitude that's not necessarily somebody else's fault ? Give me my PPI claim form please.Rolleyes

But any politician that actually had the guts to say anything like that to voters, or to call them out on what a bunch of ignorant self-interested lazy scumbags a lot of the electorate are would get short shrift.

RE: General Election Vote
That quite a rant and it would be difficult to argue with what you say about getting the politicians we deserve. However it would be nice to have a little honesty from them now and them. We know there are going to be cuts, don't deny it, don't tell us you can reduce the deficit and still increase spending, don't tell us you are going to negotiate are e.u membership when the e.u says there is no negotiation, don't send our soldiers to war under false pretences and then treat them like shit when they return, don't criticise people and companies for tax avoidance when you are at it yourselves and stop scaremongering about potential coalitions, fight the election on your policies.

RE: General Election Vote
It is not what the parties are telling the electorate that is the issue. It is what they are not telling them.
Of course all the parties are all too happy to pledge to spend money on this and that. Protect this and protect that.
When asked where the money will come from to fund the spending plans the parties will give incomplete answers that only incorporate things that most people cannot really disagree with such as cutting bureaucracy, cutting waste, chasing up unpaid tax and tax evaders and increasing tax for the very rich in one form or another.
However somewhere down the line there will either have to be tax increases across the board OR there will need to be CUTS.
Cuts to services that people do not want to see cuts applied to.
No party will dare mention where the axe will fall through fear of the consequences. They are in it to get elected at the end of the day Wink.
I have to agree with MLL to a large degree though and indeed I would go further but won't due to the fact it will create the most vitriolic rant of all eternity that will go on for rather too long Rolleyes.
Just don't even get me started bladewave. I can sound like the most intolerant, cynical, miserable c#nt on matters such as these Rolleyes Wink.

Well this was one of the reasons I chose to make the Poll anonymous as I strongly suspect if the names were listed as to who voted for which party then probably the majority on this forum wouldn't have gone within 20 foot of this Thread let alone vote out of fear of being ridiculed or given unnecessary hostility as UKIP are a very controversial party.

I'll look with interest as to what the final forum result will be and then compare it to the actual result and see if it's on a similar standing.

RE: General Election Vote
To Be honest some of what UKIP is proposing is damm good stuff i can see why people fall for it.

The stuff about building special hostels to look after and get vetrans that are sleeping rough and give them priority for Drugs and Alcohol rehab and mental services building a specialist hopital to deal with injurys

Even Simple stuff like getting Rid of VAT on women sanitry products i Mean how in earth there is VAT on that in the First place surely that is a pure sexist policy

Even there arguments on the Overseas Aid Budget is good the argument why are we giving India and Pakistan still a Huge amount of Cash still when India is spending billions on space missions and even Pakistan which has just signed a multi billion pound deals with china

dont get me wrong i cant stand farage and the little englanders that run the party but if any of the other partys had put the above policys in there manifestos they would get my vote

RE: General Election Vote
I voted Conservative. Not impressed with any of them, but the last thing this country needs is the utterly incompetent Ed Balls in charge of the economy.
