I'm actually rather surprised that Ed Miliband has survived as long as he has done as leader of the Labour Party because the man has no charisma whatsoever. He speaks like he's got blocked nose.
A lot of the success in the 1997 Labour landslide was down to the personality of Tony Blair, love him or hate him he was the first leader and then Prime Minister to embrace popular culture, I even remember him playing an electric guitar on the Des O'Conner show and then once elected inviting the Gallagher brothers into No 10 for a celebrity party. Millaband has none of this, he's as dull as dish water and and completely lacks conviction, as soon as he opens his mouth you just feel like nodding off.
For all the talk about Cameron as one of the Bullingdon bullies, it shouldn't be forgotten that Ed Miliband had to stab his own brother in the back to get his job. Which is a novel approach to solving unemployment, but not practical for most people.
Cameron, Osbourne & co are just going through the motions because they have no original ideas of their own (apart from IDS, who wants extraditing anyway).
The LDs have never really owned up to their own division, between the purists, who think you must stick to every last word of your manifesto even though then you'll never be able to put it into practice, and the pragmatists, who said "first vaguely Liberal government in decades? alright then". At least they're pro-Europe.
The other single-issue parties are just a joke. Farage is like an English Alex Salmond.

RE: General Election Vote
Will be oh so glad to see this election done. The amount of bullshit spouted is deyond belief. It's cringing to see Cameron trying to be sincere, and as for saying the conservative party is now the party of the working classes, yeah, and Gary Glitter is innocent. Milliband seems to have lost the plot, and Farage and Clegg would make a great double act, not as good as Morecambe and Wise, but they make me laugh. Wee Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP have them all shitting themselves, and not before time. Think most of us are sick to the teeth of Labour and the Torys tit for tat, its their fault not ours, we will fix it. Come Friday morning, the brown noseing that will go on to get their share of the cake, will be comical. Whatever the outcome, the moneymen will still be in charge, as always
