RE: General Election Vote
Cameron has to deliver deliver the EU Referendum now. There's also the problem of Scottish MPs being allowed to vote on issues that have nothing to do with them.

Only 3 things in life are certain. Death, Taxes and lesbians will never look how they do in porn movies.

RE: General Election Vote
Now the tories will lurch further right.... looking for the breath taking hypocrisy due any time soon about Cameron when he will start talking about how he loves Scotland after doing all he could to split the country up!! Following next years Scottish parliament voting where the SNP will kick ass again, they inevitably will go for another referendum and there is no way on earth the No vote can win again. Not after Cameron his mucker Murdoch and the rest of the right wing propaganda have crucified the Scots this campaign.

2017 be a special year for his premiership,, becoming the prime minister that sees the break up of the union and the exit from the EU quite some premiership.

Only positive from the night was Farage being fucked. I imagine most UKIP supporters will head back to the Tories now they r in power and heading right wing.

Labour leadership i think will be between Chuka Umuuna, Burnha, Hunt and possibly Gloria De Piero

I hate injustice and liars

I dont think Al Murray did himself any favours getting involved IMO. He looked embarrassad as the result was announcedSad Gordon Brown chose the right time to give up his seat. 35% swing to the SNP. Never mind, Gordon will enjoy his enhanced pension, and his part time jobs working for the moneymen. Shows what can be achived when you sell your soulSadSadSad

Nothing to do with the press - the public aren't as stupid as you condescending lefties like to think.

We could see it for ourselves, and we remember all too clearly the sheer incompetence and wanton damage left by the last Labour administration:

1) economy in ruins, virtually bankrupt as a nation.
2) bloated welfare state that encouraged incapacity, dependence, fraud and absurdly low thresholds for disability.
3) deliberate loss of border and immigration control that has destroyed community cohesion
4) a welter of over-regulation overseen by quangos such as our beloved Ofcom
5) NHS loaded up with PFI millstones for next 30 years.
6) colossal global strategic errors in wars: e.g. overthrowing Saddam Hussein who had kept the balance of power in Mesopotamia and a tight lid on Islamic extremism.

David should have the courage to let the Scots go their own way and be independent. It is totally unacceptable that they will be voting on purely English issues. Not to mention the money we would save not having to pay for their welfare cheques and financial propping up. Be funny to see how poverty stricken the place would be again after a decade of independence. They would be begging us to return...

RE: General Election Vote
So if the Conservatives had been in power post 9/11 they wouldn't have joined the Americans in the " War on Terror" ?

So the NHS is in perfect health now, all the wasteful PFI trusts and needless "market competition" between hospitals have been dismantled and the money is actually invested in patient care and not in turning hospitals into "businesses" competing with each other and allowing private health care companies to encourage queue-jumping by those with money and "cherry picking" the "most profitable" medical procedures ?

So an economic policy reliant on a "race to the bottom" and exploitation of cheap labour (that tends to mean a demand from big business continuing to use economic migrants to fill low level zero hours contracts) will not now be continuing ?

It's been a continuing policy of both Labour and Tory governments since the 1980s to "tolerate" structural unemployment and under-employment. New Labour tried to hide it by a welter of confusing and inefficient tax credits; Tories just don't give a damn and put the burden of stopping people starving back onto charities and food-banks in emulation of the "what made Britain great" policies of the 19th century ?

So the budget deficit has been eliminated has it ? Or has borrowing continued to increase, and have the Tories not been promising just as many unfunded giveaways during the Election as everybody else ?

The anti-Tory vote has been split all over the place - with rightly imo many being very unethusiastic for a Millibean party still carrying all the baggage of the failed Brown administration - and so some very tactical voting has taken place, and Cameron has got back in as a result.

He'll probably end up presiding over the next stage of the break up of the UK as a result though and end up with Boris's knife in his back - not only over the Scottish question, but potentially over the EU question as well.

Although he's resigned Farage said he's considering taking part in the UKIP leadership contest, so he could be back in charge before long.

Addressing just the first two:

1, There was a global economic crisis generally caused by people living beyond their means and borrowing money they didn't have to pay back. To lay the blame solely on Labour (and I'm no Labour supporter) is a little silly.

2, you clearly have never made a claim for disability allowance, it was never easy, you had your own doctors stating you was unfit for work (that in it's self was a very difficult thing to get), you then had a government medical (designed to fail), This nearly always resulted in a tribunal (this could take literally up to a year, which you was on severely reduced weekly income [£45]), when eventually you got to a tribunal you would be examined for 20 minutes or so by objective and independent people (one or two doctors and a lawyer). It was always extremely difficult to make a claim, as such, the majority of people claiming benefit ARE GENUINELY entitled to it. Even then, do you know how much this benefit is? it's a mere £25 more than normal dole; I have no idea how much ignorant people think disabled benefit is but it isn't that much.

They have replaced this fairer system with the disgrace profit making business that is atos (which is way more subject to manipulation than the old way). An organization the government has ploughed a billion into and gives a bonus for EVERY single person that they get into work, the work need only be a few months cherry picking, then the person can be on the dole again and more profit made on them the following year. This is run by unqualified and inexperienced people who are woefully ignorant of any form of illness (and can have their favourites), especially emotionally ones. You are forced (irrespective of your illness) to attend a meeting EVERY month, if you do not, 'this could affect your benefit' is on every single letter they send. The stress and anxiety caused by these people HAS led to suicides, nothing is done about it, because I'm afraid, a lot of people have the same deluded idea of how disabled benefits as you have. You don't just walk in and say, feel ill can I claim benefits Rolleyes

Yes a few may slip through the net but they will be an extremely small minority compared with the majority of claims there are. Maybe one day you will have to make a claim yourself, then come back and tell me how easy it is.

Has for the rest, yes there was a certain stability under Sadam, if you ignored his terror regime and the slaughter of the Kurds, or threats to Israel and so on. But it wasn't removing Sadam that cause unrest and fundamentalism, it was the west going in there and slaughtering their people by the hundreds of thousands that radicalized their youth that caused the unrest and led to Isis - all for oil.

Ofcom? Huh

You sound like a little Englander who does not give a shit about suffering of others as long as it's not on your doorstep, the type that would bring back work houses, who doesn't think things through and don't really know what they are on about.
