Considering strauss got caught calling him a 'cunt' i cannot imagine the innings today will change his mind about bringing him back... unless of course Gillespie makes it a condition of his accepting the job.

Regardless of 2moro's announcement kp knows that as england lose more games this summer, if he keeps banging in scores the press will shout louder and more savagely for his inclusion... btw 4-1 skybet 2 days ago that he would play for england this summer worth a punt then... a lot shorter now

Sky News reporting KP has been told tonight that he will not be selected for England again.

^ Bearing in mind Strauss is in charge no surprise there.
He may as well go back to the IPL and help out Sunrisers Hyderabad.

I thought that it had all be pre arranged with the then ECB Chairman Colin Graves. That's why Kevin pulled out of the IPL and concentrated on the County Championship.

It makes you wonder what was said at last nights meeting

Sky News wrong. Strauss says KP will not be picked by England this summer.
He also says a return for Pietersen is "not in the best short-term interests of the side" but he won’t rule out a return at a later stage.

Pietersen’s knock at the Oval is over. His batting partner, Surrey’s No 11 Matthew Dunn has been dismissed, so Pietersen ends the innings unbeaten on 355.

KP's 355 not out is the 6th highest score in Championship history, and the highest since Brian Lara's 501 not out in 1994.
