RE: Sin TV - General Chat & Discussion
the way i have heard it the going off air was a result of sin restructuring the wages they pay the girls and them not liking it, looking to cut from 800 down to 200-300 a shift also they want to back date this new figure to any shifts girls have done but not been paid for yet,
girls who did not take the offer have left owed money which they my well not get,
it's not fair on the girls but what sin needed to do if they wanted to keep going,
currently walking on the Sunny side of the street

This is where contracts in these types of industries cause problems, and that is exactly what has happened. From your post, they want to cut the £800 figure down to £200/300 and back date this. Legally, they can't if the girls being paid the £800 are contracted to that wage. They worked their shifts, they have to be paid as per the terms of the contract. However - the unknown element of contracts is what is written in the small print. When £££'s are flashing before your eyes, some may forget to read the small print and just sign, thinking they are on easy street. SinTV management may have inserted a clause that says they can reduce that fee at any time. I'm sure this is not the case but it has been known. Either way, those girls who have not been paid, rightly, can take the owners of SinTV to court to get their full payment owed. It's costly to do that though (i know from experience). This is still going to get messy for SinTV - depending on those who have not been paid, they are still not out of the shit yet. Bad decisions and management withregard to finances may still come back to haunt them yet. One can only hope that there is a resolve here and the girls who have not bene paid, do eventually get paid what they are owed - my advice to those girls not paid would be to consider looking at the copy of your contract and see if there is any clauses inserted into the small print, if not, go for what you are owed, you are legally entitled to, if there is a clause about pay changing, then take what you can get and move on (i had to take what i could get and move on from my case with a former employer who eventually went bust - had i pursued the full amount of over £2,500, i'd have not got a penny). Tough times for both parties i think
