RE: Transfers, Summer 2015
people keep going on if spurs had paid what they were told but thats the argument Spurs are saying that Peace would not give them that value. from the sounds it berahino was gagged about the deal because he said would love to say whats going on but cant. thinking there should be some sort of arbitary place where clubs can go to get things like this disputed.

what is it with west brom and these saga's happened with odenwingie that was peace again

I do agree that Levy should have paid the asking price as people know am a Spurs fan and no lover Levy and I can't stand the guy, there's nothing in trying to get a player cheaper then the asking price all teams do it but there's a difference doing that and taken the piss in what your offering. Both chairman have been pretty bad in dealing with this Levy with fucking about and Peace with not making up his mind one min the player wasn't for sale at any cost then he was if was serious about selling Berahino he wouldn't have turned the transfer request he could have accepted and said you can go but only if the valuation for you instead his going about to press look at how Chelsea were trying to get Stones the way Everton dealt with the whole matter very professional in the way Everton handled it.
Then there's Berahino who has handled himself badly he shouldn't have posted his comments on twitter he should have kept his comments to himself look at how De Gea wanted to go Real Madrid do you see him moaning on social networking even tho is clearly disappointed this did happen. Remember Berahino has done this before which people forget, sticking him in the reserves to rot does no one no good as if WBA struggle or get players they may need him and his being paid doing that you may as well have let be sold then. There two sides to what's being going on and I doubt we'll ever get the full truth but both sides have a lot to blame for what's going on and it's left a nasty stain on the beautiful game of football.

In the cases of Odemwingie and Berahino it is simply down to greed, both players were happy to kiss the badge and profess their love for the club when it suited them but as soon as more money was on offer they very quickly changed their minds and wanted to leave. Odemwingie was one of the highest paid players in the clubs history on £38,000 a week but handed in a transfer request so he could join QPR who at the time were bottom of the premiership, saying that he had always wanted to play for harry rednapp, and nothing to do with the reported £70,000 a week he had been offered. Berahino has just signed a two year contract extension also making him one of the highest paid players at the club and now he wants to leave for more money, if these were people struggling to make ends meet you might be able to excuse their behaviour but they earn more money in one year than most people will earn in their lifetimes.

That's the case with most footballers they'll happily kiss the badge and say how much they love club someone comes in and offers them a better deal with more they'll happily clear off and kiss the badge of that club that's just how football is now even if a player signs a new contract it means nothing. Ade at spurs is on 100 grand a week he won't leave unless they give him a 5 million pound pay off they won't pay so he'll happily not play and still get his 100 grand a week rather then maybe take a pay cut and actually play football greedy footballers your better off getting rid of them because cause nothing but trouble.

@kal-el
I remember Winstone Bogarde doing something similar at Chelsea. Raneri told him he was surplus to requirements and he stayed for the money. Raneri made him come in everyday to do 40 laps of the pitch alone. He would than commute back home to holland and be home in time for lunch.

Levy Has no sympathy off me. WestHam wanted him last year on loan. Were willing to pay half his wage demands but levy refused to do business with a local rival. Thought it was madness. Adobayer would have been motivated to give his all and put himself in the shopping window. He would have been match fit and would have got spurs a decent amount of money from who ever brought him.
I think levy is cutting off his nose to spite his face. WestHam won't be able to get him on loan next transfer window as they used up the maximum amount permitted for loan signings, so who on earth are going to try to get him next transfer window? Villa seem to be the only other team interested.

Am Spurs fan and am big fan of Levy his done a lot of good stuff with saving the club and making sure we're not in debt the new stadium but he also does a lot bad too and his fucking tight as anything and does deals last min his a good business man but he knows fuck all about football.
As for Ade his just greedy he did it to Arsenal and only played good for new contract fucks off to Man City went on loan to us but still wanted the 100 grand week which we helped pay with City he signs for us with us paying 100 grand a week then after a while can't be assed you only have to read about the problems with his family and money then because of that couldn't play because of that and played 4 games. Aston
villa and West Ham were after him but that was never gonna happen he still wants his 100 grand a week he wouldn't take a pay cut to play for villa now he wants a 5 million pound off which I wouldn't give. Ask any Arsenal fan what they think of him and they'll tell you. My best mate is Arsenal fan and he hates him, even if West Ham could have loaned him he still wants his 5 million pay off and 100 grand a week. Oh he'll play for you for a while then he'll fuck you over that's why all clubs his been at they have good to say about him his has talent but just cares about money.

RE: Transfers, Summer 2015
I've never understood why there isn't a 'standard' penalty clause built into football contracts whereby a player who's running down their contract, is unfit to play, doesn't make any effort or brings the club into 'disrepute' is only paid 10% or 25% of their wages... not like they'd starve like us mere mortals. I'm sure some of you guys know of some players that have had that sort of thing but I can't think of any (although Joey Barton springs to mind?). Clubs normally deal with that sort of thing through fines, but they're generally a pittance compared to their wages so are no effective disincentive.
