They've totally lost the plot now.

Read through the synopses in Radio Times, and I still don't feel much jollier about it.

They could have done some clever stuff with a "Rock Doc" angle, but it looks like being style over substance instead.

I doubt if they would approach any babe channel babes to replace her...but I can't think of anyone hot enough to even replace her, but certainly can't imagine they would bring Karen Gillian back...
