Star Wars : The Force Awakens. 9/10.

Gotta say I was resistant to the whole idea of this franchise continuing, and especially bringing back old characters from the "original" trilogy.
( laugh Is nobody else thinking - "Jeez, these guys deserve a break in their old age." ? Or as Bruce Willis says in Die Hard II : "How can the same shit happen to the same guys twice ?" Big Laugh )

But that said, I thought the new leads and villain were great.

Quibbles : the general structure of the whole film I would say seemed very much deliberately modelled on Episode IV, just twisting it slightly (almost a "reboot" a la what the new Star Trek did with Wrath of Khan ?) ; so I thought made it slightly predictable as to how some of the story would pan out.

That said, imo overall it was miles and miles better than the "prequels", with a humour and charm about it - some of which is down to the return of old characters admittedly, but crucially I thought still not totally dependent on that; the "new" characters also stood out as more "three-dimensional" in a way that I don't think they did at all in the "prequels".

i just finished watching "Bicentennial man", directed by Chris Columbus - 1999- with (principal actors) Robin Williams, Sam Neill, Embeth Davidtz. 6-6,5 /10; i didn't like particularly the second part , but overall i found the movie quite enjoyable, with some touching moments.

year after year after year, I keep reading that the shows were better "in the past"... maybe they were never that great (except in the pioneering era)?

Legion 0/10

I'm normally fairly easily pleased, and not that bothered about rating films. But ffs, what a complete and utter bag of shite!

I def looking to watching Creed, when it comes out in Jan. I thought Southpaw was going to be hard to beat. From what I have been hearing, this might actually do that. If you have seen both, let me know which you think is better.

I think I'm the only one on here, who isn't feeling the love for the new Star Wars.

Yeah Priest was another film. In Legion, he is actually fighting Legion of God's Angels.

after years, i watched Titanic again. we all know the movie, i guess...directed by James Cameron, produced in 1997, with (principal actors) Leonardo Di Caprio, Kate Winslet, Billy Zane, Bernard Smith
8,5-9/10
hard to review this film with a lower rating... maybe the love story could be considered banal, but the special effects are fantastic. I love the sinking part, a masterpiece of realism and dramatic suspence

year after year after year, I keep reading that the shows were better "in the past"... maybe they were never that great (except in the pioneering era)?
