Welcome. Any favourite painters or artists? I'm partial to Manet or Modigliani myself, although I can stretch to a bit of Sofonisba Anguissola if pushed. [though you'll be amazed how few people want to push me on the subject!]

Quite a wide range, Constable,Dali,Turner,Hockney, impressionism painters, others I've probably forgotten. Favourite probably Canaletto

year after year after year, I keep reading that the shows were better "in the past"... maybe they were never that great (except in the pioneering era)?
