Yes, they were calling it a new channel/show, so it seems the BSX name has been dropped, and has been replaced with the BS Xtra name,, it does say something in the producers notes [that were posted in another thread] about bringing back BS Xtra, i'm guessing this is what he was referring to .

So to sum up, BSX has finished and has been replaced by BS Xtra, BS Xtra is now a encrypted phone in show/channel, that broadcasts on freeview channel 174 only. it's £3 to watch, [how long will that last], have i got this right ? .

PS, Does the channel now finish at 2am ? .

So all the channels have changed names to confuse the viewer

Babestation blue is now meet the babes

Bsx is now babestation xtra

yep went to prerecorded shows like normal at 2am, i think its a good thing that its now a 2.5 hour live show, should get more viewers

for the record last night the order and amount of time the girls got was

Lynda - 40 minutes

Amelia - 1 hour

Preeti - 20 minutes

Leigh - 30 minutes

Dannii Harwood couldn't be persuaded to join in then ?

Seriously, instead of putting effort into improving the shows (all of them), they waste their time changing channel names, and to confuse matters yet further, rename some channels using existing, long-standing, and consequently well known names?

She's far too commercially aware of her own value to give away the store on "Xtra" ?

Positives :
there was less of the repeated pre-recorded filler.
the production values looked better than previous bsx (not difficult) - simply because they used one of the proper BS sets and more usual lighting that goes with that; and so they didn't have that "mattress on the floor of a blacked out poorly-lit warehouse" look that the old BSX / Unleashed shows have.

I can't see how they can have the continuous live-show from 11:30 - 2am every night though for 2 reasons :
1. are there enough viewers willing to pay twice - once to view the channel, and then again to actually phone ?
2. even if the non-stop liveshow gimmick is only on at weekends, with prerecorded-filler-as-usual the rest of the week, it's going to depend on having enough babes on the roster willing to alternate between the regular channels and this one to flash the goods. And I don't think they really have enough of those at the moment : we've seen that already when bsx tried to do "Babestation girls gone bad" with live shows only at 11:30, 00:30 and 01:30 and it generally ends up with howls about hand-thonging, because they already don't have enough "regular" babes who are also willing to do "open leg" stints on bsx the same night they're doing the usual shows.

I imagine more punters would pay to watch nightly live shows then there would pay to watch the constant string of repeats. The second point relating to the lack of girls is the real problem. I put the babes into three categories. 1. The girls who do bsx and go all the way. 2. The ones who do bsx but show nothing ( or next to nothing ) and 3 the girls who refuse to do bsx. I think the first category only contains six girls and that's the real problem, the return of Candy Sexton and Kerrie Lee joining should boost the numbers though.

^ That's what they ARE promising - hence all the corny jokes about going the "Xtra mile" etc on the mic last night .... but as it's been said, it hasn't worked in the past because the performers themselves aren't all willing "to go further".
