Aside from the debate on this thread which has made interesting reading ............ I have to say the politicians on both sides of the argument have been utterly hopeless.
It has felt and continues to feel like the Scottish Independence referendum all over again. Both sides have utterly failed to make a positive case for remaining in OR exiting the EU.
Both sides have reverted to political type of negative and speculative scaremongering. Both trying to claim the opposing outcome would be a monumental disaster of epic proportions.

What are the problems and challenges this country faces?
How and why is staying in OR exiting the EU going to help us solve those problems.
What are the problems the rest of Europe faces.
To what extent can Britain help to ease those problems either in the EU or outside of it?

To my mind the politicians on both sides have failed miserably in answering these questions possibly because they know they can't. It is guesswork. They do not have anything meaningful or tangible to say so they feed us a load of #@$te instead .

Where are the positive, meaningful arguments based on FACT for staying in or exiting?
I'm not interested in speculation. I want FACT.

The debate on this thread has been considerably more enlightening than any of the crap from the official campaigns to stay or leave.
Cameron is about as much use as a waterproof teabag while Corbyn is about as convincing in his desire to stay as I would be in a claim to love bed sets .
And as for IDS and Boris......

I have to say that that it is entirely possible (due to both sides not being convincing for us mortals), that we could face this decision in six months' time, if the final result isn't clear cut enough Am I right in saying that didn't several countries had to hold two referendums in six months on applying to JOIN the EU?
