That's a bit like Chris Coleman putting Bale on the subs' bench - A move that will come back and invariably bite him on the bum mind you the way Corbyn rallied his troops during the vote he probably does need a bite on the bum to wake him wake him Talk about a lame duck!!

Let me sum up my position.

I was strongly in favour of Remain
I made it clear I did not believe what Leave were saying.
It seems however many voters did & that's their right
Remain lost. Leave won.
We should ALL accept that decision and pull together
Article 50 should be invoked as soon as possible by those who can see through the negotiation. That's not Cameron but could be a representative group from the Leave camp led by members of the Conservative Government.

Nothing will happen so quickly that it puts the new Prime Minister at a disadvantage.

The Leave camp seem to be denying their campaign messages but that's irrelevant in terms of the result. What's now of crucial importance is the outcome of the negotiation.

The electorate should have a right to have their say on those terms. If they are acceptable then I would vote for them. If they are a crock of shit I would vote against and wish to Remain in the EU

That is democracy and just as valid as Leavers saying that if they lost the vote narrowly they would want another Leave referendum.

In the same way that a law was passed for the Referendum a law for a new one on the above basis could be passed.

I want Scotland to stay in the Union. No new independence referendum should be held until the terms of Britains exit are known (if indeed the terms are accepted by the electorate). I just don't see how anyone in Scotland could decide if they don't know what the alternatives are and none of us know what Brexit terms will be agreed.

Good morning Big Grin
mate If a 2nd referendum was allowed think many people might switch sides, but if there is a campaign I would urge both sides to ensure the facts they put out are true and correct AND PROPER so that we can make up our minds. But I could see it going to even a third referendum as the a second vote probably would be even closer still
And I would stlll vote the same way as I did before But it would still not be legally binding decision it would still be a an advisory instruction from the people to the government if there is a loop hole in referendum that can found to make it binding I don't think it ha been found yet. Also I would be good if we could have the poll card looking a lot like HannahsPet one on polling day and we should also vote on TTIP at the same time so we can kick that firmly into touch too.

If a second referendum were to happen, and the remain camp were to come out on top, I think it's more likely going to be due to the wavers stepping forward after shitting themselves over the panicky pound Rolleyes
I say this because (allegedly) most of the leave camp are the older generation. Have many of you spoken to an elderly person over this? They are as stubborn as oxen and you have got no chance of them changing their minds Big Laugh
I'm 35 and I stand by my vote, as do all the people I've spoken to.

Like I've said, people just need to stop shiting themselves.

I'm not suggesting they would change their minds. Simply that a vote on the terms negotiated would be democratically sound. As you will see from my earlier post I would actually vote for those terms if I felt they were acceptable. Negotiations should commence in good faith that Brexit would happen subject to those terms.

I hope I haven't hurt your feelings with my comments I too stand by my vote but if there was a 2nd vote, I think the 16 -17 year old group should be included in it They ere allowed to do so in Scotland

The BBC are claiming HSBC are planning to move 1000 jobs (dealing with euro payments) to Paris, in the event of leaving the single market.
HSBC declined to comment.
