I've actually looked at it for lending to my business. The £100m they have lost was I understand from the MP who mentioned it aninvestment from a 3rd party. It was withdrawn following the Brexit vote.

These are the consequences we will face. No point ignoring them as they are facts as is another one that Ryanair have announced they will divert investment in new routes which would have been in the UK to their hubs in the EU. That's jobs that won't be created.

Absolutely none, that's why I looked it up.

So right then, it's not the business as such, but yet again people making rash knee jerk decisions? This is EXACTLY what the people on CNBC was telling people NOT to do becasue that could cause more problems. If that business kept it's 100m in that fuding circle and if Ryanair had not paniced and move, then it would have been business as usual, there is no difference today from last wenesday; there is no reason for these people to do this right now, they are doing it 'just in case' the worst case scenario came about - whatever that is, becasue nobody knows.

People in this country are now losing site of the possibilty this could be a very very good thing for the UK, I know those yanks do; could of course be bad.

It could be the case that now a u turn could be a hell of a lot more damaging, certainly by reputation.

Last look the dow jones is flying back up

https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=^DJI

So no world recession then.

Even the FtSE is back up 3%

On a different note, with people jumping all over Brexit having no leaving plan, did nobody in the remain camp ever ask what the exit plan would be if they won? Not one single person bother to raise this issue?

The remian would have won right there - 'have you a plan'? - 'no, the government should have one' - 'have you'? - 'no, it's up to the Brexit people'. Rolleyes

WTF, it's like a fucking facre, everybody would voted in or out would have thought there was some plan.

I also was a little irked at Grahamn Norton had a swipe at the rest of Britian as if Lodon was SOOOO enlightened, that is, the imigrant living in a place were the city of London as a 39% population that weren't born in the UK.

RE: Europe..IN or OUT??
Today is what is known as a dead cat bounce basically traders usally buy stock that has fallen in value so it goes up they make a quick profit and they will prob sell it off 2moro same for the pound.

its not going to be a shock week of falls its going to be a a slow decline especially on the pound so it means out current account defecit will rise which means the cost of imports will be more than what we get from exports which will increase inflation which in turn means the BOE will have to put up interest rates which means mortgages will go up

gonna take least a few months before we know how bad it will be and with the fact gonna be months before we know what is happening with what we are doing

i remember the crash in the 80's and the 92 one. One lead to my parents losing our house because interest rates were @ 15%

thats why ive worried seen how it works a number of times and it usally the people least who can afford to lose it that do

RE: Europe..IN or OUT??
Wackawoo why would the government or Remain camp have an exit plan when it's clear that the Leave camp have no fucking idea what they want but lied about what they would get?

I suggest when it comes to taking info you read more widely. I do make a deliberate point of reading papers and websites that I know are on the Leave side so I can make up my own mind.

Why do you think Leave are shitting themselves that Cameron resigned? I'll tell you - they promised the earth and now they will have to deliver. They can't blame Cameron or anyone else.

I despise them for their lies and for the way they have deceived honest voters. I have no problem with any individual who voted leave unless it was for racist reasons & don't tell me it wasn't for some. The vile behaviour towards some immigrants since the vote make me ashamed to be British.

It's not up to individuals, or individual companies to save the country. Sure there are opportunists and chancers trying to make money out of this but there are also alot of very worried people out there who's only concern is to come through this in one piece. Simply doing a Corporal Jones impersonation isn't going to cut it with them.
The problem is lack of leadership at Westminster.

Nigel Farage insults the European Parliament.

I felt like the man in seat 123.

RE. European Parliament debate, from the little that I saw (the media, inevitably, concentrating on Farage! bladewave ), the SNP's MEP Alyn Smith delivered an impassioned speech, resulting in a standing ovation. Cool

Also, former Belgian PM, Guy Verhofstadt, seemed to have a better understanding of what has happened, and why, including the lies of the Leave campaign, than some at Westminster! Surprised
He even got in a joke at Farage's expense - “OK, let’s be positive, we are getting rid of the biggest waste of EU budget: your salary." Wink laugh

We've been importing way more then exporting anyway, almost twice if i remeber correctly.
