RE: Last film you watched
Out Of The Furnace (2013) Life in a working class Pennsylvania town. In the style of other 'blue collar' thrillers such as The Town and the excellent Gone Baby Gone, this matches neither, despite a heavyweight cast including Christian Bale, Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson (excellently psychotic) Zoe Saldana(underused, but good), Sam Shepherd, Forest Whitaker & Willem Dafoe, the script and especially the storyline aren't particularly original, and the mixture of slowness, being bit overlong and familiar is fatal. There is the odd striking scene and interesting cinematography, but its not enough. 5.5/10

Hitman Hart : Wrestling With Shadows(1999)
A fly on the wall documentary from Paul Jay following Bret Hart in his final two years in the World Wrestling Federation before his dramatic departure in November of 1997.Hart speaks candidly about his feelings and his struggle to evolve to changes in pro wrestling in the late nineties.Heels(villains) were beginning to be cheered and bababyfaces(heroes)were now hearing booes from the crowds.Hart a perennial fan favourite had his spot as the number hero spot taken away from, was asked to play the bad guy, only to see that spot taken by another wrestler,in limbo Hart was told by WWF owner Vince MacMahon to take a high paying job with rival promotion World Championship Wrestling,Hart reluctantly accepted the offer.Working his notice for the WWF,filming had finished, Paul Jay was happy with the footage he captured but was persuaded by Hart to bring his cameras along for his final showdown on pay per view with Shawn Michaels(Hart and Michaels hated each other personally in real life).Hart had a slight worry that maybe something out of the ordinary could happen. After recording a conversation with Vince MacMahon,in which they agreed on a finish to the match,it would end in a double disqualification after the two men's rival gang members ran in.MacMahon doublecrossed Hart live in front of a Montreal crowd. Realising what had happened, Hart spat in MacMahon's face, who was at ringside to change the ending. Managing to control his temper,Hart went backstage, had a shower and then knocked MacMahon out for real with a thunderous punch to the temple.Paul Jay's film shows the very real and often callous side to pro wrestling, you don't even have to be a fan to watch this as it is more about a man's emotional connection to a job and business he loved.Emotional and utterly intriguing from start to finish.

Son Of Kong(1933)
Carl Denham played once again by the great Robert Armstrong returns to Skull Island and finds a slightly smaller than Kong, white gorilla who does battle with other giant species of animals indigenous to the island.Made quickly to cash in on King Kong's phenomenal success,it runs for just over an hour and never quite captures the inagination like the original did, despite some charming stop motion animation and a pretty emotional ending.

The Shark Is Still Working : The Impact and Legacy of Jaws(2007)
A feature length documentary from Erik Hollander inspired by Laurent Bouzereau's The Making Of Jaws(1995)which made it onto the excellent laserdisc version of the film. The Shark Is Still working was put together over a seven year period, compiling interviews with fans, filmmakers and the main players from Jaws itself, including the late Robert Shaw and Roy Scheider who narrates.Backed up by a wonderful soundtrack from Michael McCormack, this is essential for any fan of Spielberg's classic and best film.

Walking With Dinosaurs The Movie(2014)
A small dinosaur named Patchi(Justin Long)struggles to find his place in the world and his herd after a cataclysmic, natural disaster.Despite the impressive voice talent and beautiful CGI throughout, the weak plot and terribly clichéd,American teenage dialogue make this a real drag to watch.
