The second addition to the squad this summer has been completed. N’Golo Kante is now a Chelsea player, signed on a 5 year deal.

It's good that we've started the season with a win and although the triumph over West Ham was fully deserved it wasn't entirely convincing. With the pace some clubs have got they will tear our defense apart, hence we need at least one new defender before the transfer window closes.

Well the transfer window closes with us now well stocked in terms of goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders, but seriously short of strikers. Having let Traore and Remy go (why?), we now have just 2 strikers until January (lets hope they don't get injured).

I woke up this morning having had a strange dream that we'd resigned David Luiz. Then I remembered it was real and not a dream!

Well it's nice to win after being 2-0 down, so the 4-2 over Leicester in the League Cup was very welcome in the end. After his performance last night, why not play Fabregas in place of Oscar? He should be getting more of a look in from Conte than he has so far this season.

Well that was a good way to mark the 20th anniversary of Mathew Harding's helicopter crash, a 4-0 win against Man Utd. I don't think we should get too carried away though, as their defending was truly incompetent. Strange after they stifled the game against Liverpool to a 0-0 draw.

I think the win against Everton last weekend was a much stronger performance than the one against Man Utd. Anyway the reason I'm posting today is to mark the 20th anniversary of Chelsea signing the legendary Gianfranco Zola. On this day in 1996 he joined us from Parma.
