England World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign

New manager, same rubbish. Build up too slow, too many balls being played sidewards, not enough movement off the ball, players not recreating their club form. England only started playing when Slovakia were down to 10 men. I know it's Allardyce's first game and hopefully it can only get better, but the better teams in the world certainly won't be worried after seeing that display.

I don't believe we have the mentality in going forward and breaking teams down. I think that game last night really showed what is wrong with English football. We are not playing enough English players in our Premier League teams to give the England manager a decent sizeable pool of players to pick from. We had an overseas player restriction on teams before, let's put that back in place and see how it improves the pool of players for Sam. winter break needed? Maybe but probably will never happen as our league schedule is tight as it is to even schedule a break in

Rashford for me would have been a far better option going forward he showed what he could do in Euros when he came on, reminded me of a young Michael Owen. Yet is laughable the Slovakia are now claiming that our result was fixed after ref sent Skrtel off!! Ridiculous!! Skrtel knew he was on a yellow BEFORE he did what he did to get sent off, so why they never pulled him off to protect him from any further punishment is beyond me but even against 10 men we struggled to break them down. I hope Sam now realises that maybe it is better to reveal the line up an hour before kick off or something just to keep the opposition guessing. That made it easier for Slovakia to set themselves up against us and I do feel Walcott's goal was one that should have counted
Releasing the team 48 hours before game probably was bold but I think late as possible is better.

Had Hodgson used him better in Euros I think we could done a whole heap better I think he wasted him by getting him taking corners in the Iceland game I think it was

It's like I said before we wouldn't hammer Malta and they did park the bus a bit didn't they? If shite teams like Scotland can get five past them what chance have we got getting any against Slovenia on Tuesday? The only hope we have of winning that would be them not turning up and we get a 3-0 automatic win!! I bet a team of dustbins would have played better!!
