Say's on wiki NAFTA that's a free trade with only three countries in it, they being the Americas, all three being big economies. Britian would have more countries in it, of course the Americas are a vast continent.

At the time tough, there were people wanting world free trade, not just pockets of it.

There are a lot of foreign owned business, but the tax will stop here I'd have thought. Unless you have evidence for this funnelling

Most of the world is made up of trade blocs, and we just resigned from one of the biggest.

The tax will stay (if they pay any, as HannahsPet pointed out). Some of the profits will stay if they reinvest in the business, otherwise they will go out of the country and into the pockets of the owner/shareholders.
They will be taking a hit at the moment though, when they convert UK made profits into their own currency because of the weak £.
Hopefully most will stick it out, but a few are bound to bail. The boss of Nissan is on record as saying they would need compensation for any brexit related costs, if they are to continue investing in the UK. He was at Downing Street last week for talks and came out beaming that everything in the garden was rosy again. So it's fairly safe to assume he got his 'brexit bung', at the taxpayers expense.
Jaguar Landrover will probably be next in a long queue looking for similar treatment, to stay in the UK.

Interesting link, if you look at it, Americas, India, Soviet Union and so on all have there own trading blocks seperate from one another, including a couple of European free trade.

Presumable now, the UK can trade with any of these without restrictions from the rest of Europe.

From the above link:

Advantages

There are five major advantages of trade bloc agreements: foreign direct investment, economies of scale, competition, trade effects, and market efficiency.

Foreign Direct Investment: An increase in foreign direct investment results from trade blocs and benefits the economies of participating nations. Larger markets are created, resulting in lower costs to manufacture products locally.

Economies of Scale: The larger markets created via trading blocs permit economies of scale. The average cost of production is decreased because mass production is allowed.

Competition: Trade blocs bring manufacturers in numerous countries closer together, resulting in greater competition. Accordingly, the increased competition promotes greater efficiency within firms.

Trade Effects Trade blocs eliminate tariffs, thus driving the cost of imports down. As a result, demand changes and consumers make purchases based on the lowest prices, allowing firms with a competitive advantage in production to thrive.

Market Efficiency: The increased consumption experienced with changes in demand combines with a greater amount of products being manufactured to result in an efficient market.

But there are disadvantages:

Disadvantages

The disadvantages, on the other hand, include: regionalism vs. multinationalism, loss of sovereignty, concessions, and interdependence.

It's basically finantial vs National pride; very big issue for most countries, especially powerful ones like Britian that use to rule the world.

So it's be a rich country and puppet state of the EU or a lesser rich country but have full autonomy.

Plus of course the CONTROL OF NUMBERS of immigrants, which is totally not the same as stoping imirants as thew remainers would have it.

Said ages ago there's more than enough wiggle room with tax increse in the short run.

But at least it's good to see the wheels of business are being oiled.

RE: Europe..IN or OUT??
I know that there was a report this week that said that Brexit would see food prices in stores come down, but I have an inkling that won't happen for a long time because I feel the farmers will probably sell off land after Brexit cheaply to developers to enable the building of the new houses we are apparently going to be needing and then we'll be in a position where there isn't enough land here to grow our own crops and then we would probably have to pay through the nose to import what foodstuffs we need from Europe like everything else. Not only that I think if & when MP's do get the chance to vote on any Brexit deal that is reached there will be more than enough MP's ending up supporting those who supported Remain in the first place to scupper any deal and it will probably leave many of us wondering whether the Referendum vote was worth it in the first place. If we knew then how many MP's would demand that Parliament should have a vote and final say long after we have had our say. Again the wishes of the British people will be scuppered by the voices of those in Westminster. And it does leave me thinking there is far more likely chance of us finding life on Mars than there is of the UK leaving the EU because whatever deal we reach with the EU probably will end up being more in their favour than ours.
Mrs May needs to be firm and say that MP's need to realise that our wishes must still be respected whatever happens.

No kidding. Why on Earth would they do any different?
To take a hypothetical yet similar example, if Scotland does vote for Independence, do you imagine the rest of the UK will go "Bon voyage, and the best of British luck to you!"? Because they won't. It'll be "Good riddance you ungrateful sods, after all we've done for you!"
