A squash match has no place in a PPV, let alone the final match on the card.

Two things come to mind - Brock's poor attitude towards the business when he openly admitted he only cares about the money and perhaps a punishment from Vince for that poor attitude and Goldberg's age and length of time out of the business. The only way I can see it going is for it to lead into an altercation at the Royal Rumble, then culminating with a proper match at Wrestlemania. If those things aren't on the cards, then what a stupid waste of a final match.

The main 5 on 5 elimination match was largely excellent. When the Shield briefly reformed to crash Styles through the table, it got the biggest cheer of the night up to that point. I enjoyed the women's elimination match aswell. I'm pleased they're heavily promoting the women's competition particularly in PPVs.

But I didn't like the ending to Zayn-Miz, the cruiserweight match was even sillier, and the tag team elimination match was another letdown. There were quite a few botches too - most notably Reigns appearing to fuck up the spear on Shane; and finally was disappointed Undertaker didn't appear.

So only a handful of good moments overall in a disappointingly patchy PPV.

Hmmmmm Goldberg thinks he is going to go thru the whole royal rumble cant see it myself he was blowing hard after 2 mins

Lesnar will presumably cost Goldberg the Rumble to set up their final showdown at Mania.

Or video games will drop off after Christmas, and Goldberg will be jobbed out.

When presenting a match between an injured Goldberg, and Lesnar's singular inability to sell with conviction, a short squash is probably the neatest answer.

So I tune into smackdown for the first time for years and I witness aj jobbing to ensworth, ain't gonna say anything as nothing surprises me nowadays anyways

They could have at least made it not look so fake ffs

It is comical that they've put their big belts on Owens and Styles and then set about making them look inadequate on a frequent basis. The stuff with Ellsworth reminds me of Cena jobbing to Kevin Federline, which made some folk hit the roof.

Then they jump through hoops to make Reigns look imperious, which is just a waste of time and money.

Its turning Styles into a heel until Cena Returns where he will be the good guy again

They apparently wanna do aj v taker, now why should that happen? Jobbing is the worse thing possible, why should anyone give a fuck about aj now??

Can you see past guys like rock/Austin/seth/brock being so kind?? This is the sad state of wrestling these days, long live the PG era!!

In fairness, Rock would job to make other guys look good.

And at least Styles is above Ambrose in the pecking order, so he can be glad of that.

Bit surprised by that Women's Title result.
