RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit ( formerly Europe..IN or OUT??)
IF Cameron did give a fuck either way he probably wouldn't have called the referendum in the first place but I think there was at the time Greece was starting having it's problems (and so did we) I think we had a groundswell of public feelings going against the EU for quite a number of years but I think looking back to when Blair was PM as well, he wanted us to integrate further into the EU at some point and I don't think he could have gone further without putting it to the people nor could he signed up to the Euro without putting it first to the country as well, and doubtless had he lost that vote then, then we could have had a referendum on our position in the EU a lot lot sooner than we actually did and I think then the vote would have been likely the same result had we had voted against joining the Euro (I think there would have been enough public support for not joining)
But like I probably said before Cameron was so sure of winning he was taken aback by surprise by the results that were coming in for leaving.
But we will soon find out how difficult and tedious the negotiations will be and whether we the public will be asked to vote again on those final terms.

And their inability to vote unless there is an app thrust into their hands.
Like people have commented on here, you can't moan about the out come of a vote if you didn't vote.
Thought there may be something in it that young people have always lived in the EU, whereas older have lived in both.

RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit ( formerly Europe..IN or OUT??)
The thing about this 'so called' BBC Report on the demographics of the voting are that some of the findings are stating the bleeding obvious, like areas such as Cambridge, Oxford etc that have Universities (that receive EU funding)& high student populations were high remain areas. And areas have a high immigrant population (like a lot of London areas) were also high remain areas, it didn't need a rocket scientist to work them findings out.
And then we come to the old chestnut & sweeping generalization about the intelligence of the voter where the less educated generally voted leave & more academic/smarter people voted remain.Whilst I'm no Einstein,Steven Hawking or any other brainiac my intelligence has helped obtain A-C's in all my GCSE's,A-levels in maths & science, qualifications as a skilled Tradesman, qualifications as a sports therapist & nutritionist etc.Not one class I sat in that time did we ever debate the EU let alone the pro's & con's of it.And yet they want to generalize me for daring to vote leave.
Despite all the qualifications I have,I have had no job security whatsoever for the past 15+ years for which I have mostly had to work self-employed,this is all while we have been a full member of the EU.
Regarding the age divide on the voting there have been various different conflicting reports as whether there was a high or low turnout for younger voters but one thing for sure is that the elderly DO vote & in large numbers.Although I wasn't alive on the first EU vote perhaps these older voters who voted back then may have seen how much the EU has changed or perhaps never wanted to join the EU in the first place have been biding their time & voting accordingly.
Also how comes when they carry out these reports, voting polls etc I do not know one person who has ever ever been interviewed.
And will Dianne Abbott recover in time to vote for Article 50 this week or has she another sick-note in her schoolbag ready.

Have you ever been stopped in the street to answer a BBC survey?
