How often do you go to the mosque? What kind of discussions do you hear in the mosque? Does the imam talk to you directly?"

She said they also examined her phone and asked questions about Arabic videos on the device. Alaoui told them they were videos of daily prayers she had received from friends, to help her and her son as he went through chemo. An agent later explained that the videos were why she was being blocked from entry.

“I felt humiliated, treated as if I was less than nothing. It’s as if I wasn’t Canadian,” she told the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

SHOCK HORROR - A national leader tries to get control of their nations borders after getting elected whilst saying they would try to get control of their national borders.

The intention is good the problem is how he is going about it.

^ Exactly. The wording of it and all of this anti Islam/Muslim rhetoric before, during and after he was elected is the problem.

The fact is, he and his minions (and his master Bannon) are tarring an entire religion with blame for a relatively small radical element (relatively speaking), who have bastardized parts of the religion for their own ends. Now considering the problem they have with racists and white supremacists in America, who use the bible as a tool for their hate, it's more than a little hypocritical.

Stats and facts prove that this is an overreaction.

Security & border forces use racial profiling and it's a fact the the majority of foreign born terrorists are Muslim (or claim to be, I appreciate they have a warped view of their religion) which is of course not saying all Muslims are terrorists. As such Muslims or those travelling from Muslim countries are subject to profiling. It's used by all nations. I have personally been questioned entering Muslim countries due to certain stamps in my passport. It's sadly a fact of modern life.
