Some times there entire quote is needed when people are deliberatly mis quoteing.

Not wanting you to get involved, but that post by Munch, which was thanked by an Admin, is one of the worst things I have seen in over 10 years of being on forums, including a mod on 2.

Not only was my post NOT islamaphobic, it was incredibly pro Islam.

I stateted clearly that the problems in the world now are to do with the wests attacks in the middle east, for oil, somethinng I have always mantained, and I stated equally clearly, that Muslim countries have shown a remarkable degree of restrain.

Yet that he tried to twist it is to some for of islamaphobia by one of the worst out of conext I think I have seen any where.

Shocking even by the standards of some on this tread.

You seem to have missed the point wackawoo, this isn't about snipping a large quote, this is about removing a quote from a post directly below another, I couldn't have been any clearer. We remove unnecessary quotes and will continue to do so, my post was a heads up as about a dozen or so posters were about to be edited. There are numerous posts stating that we don't like overquoting, so it's not something that needs debated. The Watcher would have been very annoyed with all the unnecessary quoting going on, like what you have just done

Nor did I accuse YOU of being islamaphobic, I was stating that the comment you made was the sort of thing that is often used to generate anti-islamic feelings.
Maybe it was just a bad choice of words on your behalf, or badly phrased, but I did read the entire post, and agreed with some of the points you made, but the part I focused on was not in my opinion 'taken out of context'.
It said what it said, and I didn't feel that the rest of the post gave it any justification, so I selectively quoted it to make my response, a standard technique used on internet forums for brevity and clarity.
I was probably wrong to accuse you of ignorance of Islam, in which case I apologise for that, but I stand by the rest of my point, and the method by which it was made.
