Mark Williams also exited this afternoon to some unknown/not-well-known. Ebdon made it through, though.

A whole raft of big names out.
Ding out.
Murphy out.
Robertson out.
O'Sullivan out.
Liang Wenbo out.
Fu out.

Goodness knows who will win now.
But Barry Hawkins is still in Wink.

Mark King got knocked out too.

Mark Davis' recovery was quite impressive (i.e. I watched a lot of it).

Chaotic day today, resulting in a last 16 this evening with only 3 seeds left in it. Trump KO'd the teenager Page this afternoon pretty smoothly, then the Iranian lad, slightly less smoothly, this evening.

Yep.
Selby gone.
Carter gone.
Hamilton gone.

Of the more recognized names only Hawkins, Trump and Bingham remain.

Milkins the dark horse.

Hawkins gone Tongue

Given the somewhat surprising first 3 winners, of the HN things, and the news about how so many big names were gone before the last 16, the likely Trump-Bingham final would provide the sort of winner Barry Hearn presumably expected in the first place.

Trump v Bingham, so at least one of the HN trophies should go to a top player.

RE: Home Nations £1m tournament
Bingham has sealed victory after a drawn out battle against Judd Trump.
Bingham surged into a 4-0 lead before the Bristolian fought back to 3-5 down at the mid session interval.
The evening session was a dour struggle as both players struggled for fluency. Trump recovered to 6-6 before the Essex man took the lead again at 7-6. Trump won a couple of tense frames to take the lead for the first time at 8-7.
In frame sixteen Trump established a small lead but ultimately lost a prolonged tactical battle on the colours and with it the frame.
Bingham held his nerve in the decider to claim the title 9-8.

So the Home Nations tournaments look like this:

English Open for The Steve Davis Trophy - Winner: Liang Wenbo
Northern Ireland Open for the Alex Higgins Trophy - Winner: Mark King
Scottish Open for The Stephen Hendry Trophy - Winner: Marco Fu
Welsh Open for The Ray Reardon Trophy - Winner: Stuart Bingham
