Just wonder how much longer this year Trump will be in office

^ This is the absolute key for me. His own party have to turn against him for any ousting to stand a chance. Otherwise it's just noise. While Trump allows the majority of the Republican authority to do what they wish to do he will be tolerated. The instant he becomes a liabilty to them in that he will dropped like a hot potatoe as he is simply not liked enough by his own politicians.

He will be forced aside for Spence to play out the rest of his term in as lowkey a manner as possible. There would simply be no political will for anything more than that IMO.

^ On the one hand, it woudn't take much for the Party to turn against him given that some (many? most?) Republicans didn't like Trump at any time, and, in some respects, did more to try to stop him becoming President than the Democrats did!

However, I seem to recall that the Republicans had (secretly) more or less given up on the idea of being in power again in the foreseeable future, as they also seemed to believe that Clinton was a shoe-in, so if it wasn't for Trump, they woudn't be in power at all; I imagine, therefore, that they are somewhat conflicted - so, unless there is clear evidence that those who elected Trump have turned against him 'en masse', I suspect that the Republican Party will put up with him.

There is no quiet way to remove a freely elected president.
