EXACTLY!

I said right at the begining of all this that the EU were trying to blackmail the UK in to remianing in the EU because they want UK money. Of course I was scoffed at and apparently the EU were only giving a nice polite warning.
If was interesting to see the attitude of both side before and after Trumps electon. Before it was, the UK will do as we say or else attitude, then when a Strongly UK president in favour of Brexit became president, EU was suddenly , er, lets not be so hasty shall we? I'm sure we can work it out, lets be fwriends, and May be like, do as your damn told EU. Now Trump has more important things to do like starting ww3 it's back to the UK will do as we order.
I also fail to see how the UK, especially long term, would be worse of than the EU by leaving Brexit, it being the second biggest net contributer to the EU.

About 20 of the EU countries are net recipiants - and thats WITH UK's money. Money lost from the UK (especially in the long run) will have to be found from some where, and that means the richest countries that are already contributing the most will have to dig deeper. And Germany apparently can't even find the 2% per annum contributions to NATO.
Those twats in the EU also need to get a reality check and everybody wants to stop it with the treats and live in the land of reality. The EU will not want to loose billions of pounds worth of trade with the UK and from what I remember the UK imports way more from the EU than they do from us. Rights of citizens WILL be protected and again, there are 4 times the amount of EU citizen living in the UK than there are UK citizens in the vast long mass of the EU. Wereas the UK can trade with the rest of the world and recruit from there also.
The EU cannot basically say, we damand everything we want up front before negotiations start; quite frankly I'd rather the UK walk away than be black mailed by an organization whos majority of countries are actually receiving more than they are giving; that's like people on the dole demanding more money or else.
Fucking jog on and hope Le Penn doesn't win or that will be the end of the EU.
PS, it seems also that nearly half of the UK population voting to remian in the EU is an irrelavance to them also; their lust for UK's money out weighs the soft option also.
Remeber, there is only on way that this could be bad for Britian, and that's if the EU went down the punishing route. But Britian will recover and in the long run, the damage my be more terminal to the EU than UK.
