That's actually a sensible decision by Trump. By criticising the Mayor of London for telling people to remain calm after the London terror attack he caused such widespread upset that he was sure to face embarrassingly large demonstrations if he showed his face here. Many people didn't want him here even before that, but that wild twitter outburst meant that demonstrations against him would have been huge.
