You're not the first to try and be smarmy with me.

You don't have a case to rest. I'm not 'trying' to be smarmy with you. I am literally 'being' smarmy with you. Trying implies I am somehow unsuccessful in my smarm.

My point remains, the Labour party as the official opposition have every right to ask questions that challenge the current government's policy. As long as they don't reach Clive Lewis levels of disrespect for the lives lost, I support the challenge, as should anyone who enjoys a healthy democracy with a sense of fairness and justice.

I expect you thought nobody would bother clicking on the links. The last one doesn't even mention May. It's a piece criticising the local council.
The second one has the headline "Prime Minister Theresa May admits support for Grenfell families 'was not good enough' ". Theresa May criticising herself, how dare she! Rolleyes
Then there's the criticism of her Newsnight interview. Ffs, did you not see that interview?

I know you've been having wet dreams about Theresa May ever since she reinvented herself as a Hard Brexiteer, but you really need to take your head out of your arse and see what a fuck-up she's been making lately. In the wake of the election disaster (and it was a disaster, make no mistake. If it hadn't been for the fantastic achievements of the Scottish Conservative Party, she'd be in a hole even the DUP couldn't get her out of) it has now become apparent that the top level of her government was totally dysfunctional. She wasn't talking to ministers and ministers were being denied adequate access to her by her tame rottweiler, Fiona Hill.

This is the government we're expected to trust to steer the country through it's most difficult period in recent history.

Keep drooling over her while you can, she's only still there because it's a poisoned chalice (poison of her own making, as well) and no-one else will touch it.

I assume that it will only take one Commons defeat and that would trigger a vote of no confidence in her Govt wouldn't it?

You are missing one fundamental point. I've agreed that questions should be ask, my point is, the timing off challanges.

This is about politicians using the deaths of people for their own political objectives - remove May from power, force a second general election whilst there is no better chance at getting in office; which they would never have had a cat in hells chance of getting if it wasn't for an unusual set of circumstances and Mays awkwardness publicly.

And you agree with this.

We all know your memory is incredibly selective, but I said weeks ago she made the mistake off fawning like a little girl over Trump which in turn made her have a more hard line approach.

That said, you do not give into demands off the opposition BEFORE they will even listen to you, nor can freedom of movement ever be negotiated.

If the EU, and it IS the EU, are going to stand by these demands then there is not a great deal May can do about it, BUT, she would stand by her principles, others wouldn't, they would cave in and try and arange a back door EU which would pretty much mean giving in to all the EU's demands whilst loosing what little influence the UK has got in the EU.

Corbyn has already stated he will give rights to EU citizens in the UK day one, WITHOUT the EU having done so for UK citizens. Have you never asked yourself if the UK is so terrible for not doing this, why hasn't the EU done this already?

Corbyn wants to take Merkel out to a footy match and discuss hugely complicated negotiations over pie and peas at half time. Rolleyes

And what exactly makes you 'know' what type of dreams I've been having, hmmm, that seems to say more about you than I.

At least YOU'RE honest, eventually.

It was never about respecting the tragedy for you. It was about convincing everyone to give the government an easy ride. Sorry, but no. I can't think of anything more disrespectful. Questions should be asked as soon as the information is there, and they should be answered immediately.

Oh dear.

I, nor anybody on here, cannot give the government either an easy ride, nor a bad ride, they can only comment about the press coverage. We do not have the power to do anything do we? So the accusation of my trying get people to give the government an 'easy ride' is not only mute, but the height of stupidity in thought.

You may also have noticed that most people who post on here are extreme remainers and very anti May BEFORE the tragidy occur. Also, you may have detected a small amount of hostility towards my post, so you saying i am trying to convince anybody of anything on here is pretty rediculous too.

I have never been happy with the press (I never really mentioned anything about Labour initially) using this for political purposes, you, on the other hand, are clearly quite happy that the press and your labour politicians are using the dead for their own political gains.

I assume this is why I have not seen a single word about the victems in any of your posts that I have read, only an apologist for the attacks on the government.

I don't think you have fully understood either that I agree have agreed with you that questions SHOULD be asked.

The problem with smarmy people who think they are too clever by half, they always always trip up. You need to understand that that post of yours reflects really very badly upon you.
