Anyway, Bannon has said he still supports Trump, which is hardly surprising. Just as the people going "this is definitely the last straw, Trump is doomed now" as they have done every week since December is hardly surprising either

would Pence bring any kind of stability or even credibility to the Presidency IF Trump was to resign?

From what Bannon's been saying since he deserted the sinking ship (Breibart's obviously been keeping his chair warm for a while), I think he's just been using Trump.
Now he sees Trump as a busted flush so he's gone to plan B (or reverted back to plan A, depending on how you look at it).
