“Crisis on Earth X, Part 1 (Supergirl Ep 8 Season 3) & Part 2 (Arrow Ep 8 Season 6)

Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) and Iris’s (guest star Candice Patton) wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), The Ray (guest star Russell Tovey), Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards), Iris West and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and White Canary (guest star Caity Lotz) – lead their teams into battle to save the world.

ep 3.3 Fairly decent stuff, and presumably a nod to more Martian stuff this series. Certainly that plot went better than the sub-plot. What always amuses me in episodes like this which are blatant filler, is that they only work providing nobody needs the DEO or the newspaper that they work at or needs saving by Supergirl.

This Ep is more of a flash back and for me was a interesting Ep seeing the back story of Kara and Alex. Now where the Ep gets really interesting is it feels like a Ep of Smallville which was done on purpose and speaking of Smallville watch out for the ton of references which were done on purpose watch this space....Also watch out for a Easter Egg which ties into the 1950’s Superman series.

think it's a mistake linking this to smallville, especially if they're replacing kara's mother with erica durance. not everything has to pay lip service to show how 'in the know' it is. and i'm not the only one who thinks this.

It’s hardly a mistake when 1, Tom Welling was Clark Kent and in Supergirl it’s a totally different actor, secondly in the Smallville universe there already was a Supergirl. Also Erica Durance was bought on purpose because she was on Smallville. You’ll notice a lot of the actors and actress that have shown up on Superman related tv shows or movies. The producers wanted Tom Welling & Michael Rosenbaum to appear on the show and the producers have put those actors in the show on purpose same as there’s been a lot of actors from the 90’s flash series appearing in The CW Flash show no one has noticed. Plus Supergirls Earth is Earth 38 which means certain events can play out similar but yet be different. The Smallville stuff was a mod and a wink to the show, fan service if you will.
