New Years Honours List

For a long time many people have considered the so called honours list as nothing more than 'gongs for the boys' a reward for failure and arse kissing but it has finally lost all credibility with the announcement that a worthless, lying sack of shit like nick clegg is to be rewarded with a knighthood.

Well he sucked Cameron's cock for 5 years so there was always going to be a pay off.

I reckon Clegg offering to wear a pig-mask whilst giving old Cameron a nosh clinched getting the knighthood.But with all the cronyism,corruption,treachery,back-handed deals & with a rogue's gallery of past recipients such as Philip Green,Fred Goodwin, Jeffrey Archer to name a few Nick Clegg will fit right in although all these deceitful fuckers would be better suited of having their own tank in the reptile-house in London Zoo instead of owning a knighthood.

I guess receiving the knight-hood was a small nugget of consolation for having Sheffield (his constituency) voting Leave in the Eu Referendum followed by they then kicking him in the bollocks for the 2nd time by turfing him out as MP.

As Lancealot790 rightly says there's no credibility or value in the system anymore & any political party that abolishes the House of Lords & the whole Knighthood system will win my vote.

It is a disgrace that Nigel Farage is not at least a Knight. Should be elevated to the Lords.

There was a time when the honours system really did mean something but during the blair years they were given out like sweets, mainly to celebrities and labour donors or anybody who supported the blair agenda. The subsequent coalition and tory governments have simply carried on that tradition, appointing lords and rewarding sycophants with honours even when they have catastrophically fucked up. Clegg is just the latest in a long line of undeserving scumbags to be recognised just because he is one the boys. The entire establishment needs to be got rid of so we can start again and appointment people who have the best interests of the country and its citizens at heart.

^^^^^ not entirely true, as this has always happened. Thatcher gave Cyril Smith a knighthood even though it was known to her at the time of the allegations against him. Not to mention Jimmy Saville. This has been going on for centuries. Even the Queen has awarded Prince Andrew a G.C.V.O despite all his fuck ups and dodgy private life.

It's all a load of bollocks. Always has been, always will be. They should do what Lloyd George did 100 years ago and get people to pay for them. 5 million for a knighthood, 2 million for a CBE etc. 100 of each given out every year, even to foreigners. At least we could use the money to go towards something useful.
