Another episode that relied on a heavy emotional tone with great effect when BJ basically adopts an entire Korean family in order to compensate for being absent from his own family in the states.

Britannia S1 Ep 1 & 2;

In AD49 Julius Caesar & his Roman army in their attempt to invade Britannia took one look at the Druids shit themselves & fucked off back home.This 10 part historical drama is set IN AD43 9 decades after the initial attempted invasion with Caesar long gone & with the Romans now led by Aulus Plautius (David Morrissey) try a second attempt to invade Britannia despite the tales of the Druids & the sea-monsters who guard the waters.

The series doesn't just focus on the Roman invasion it also features the warring factions between the various armies & tribes that roam the lands on the British Isles (who are all scared shitless by the Druids).The Druids leader is Veran (MacKenzie Crook) who apart from looking like Freddy Kruegar's secret lovechild who looks like he has been locked away in a concentration camp for a few decades has the ability to raise the dead,show people to their fate through visions & other mysical powers.

The problem with Britannia is that it will always unfairly be compared to Game of Thrones which sets a high bar to compete with but in its own right 2 episodes in it seems pretty good,although the storyline at times can be a little confusing with a few wtf moments.

Britannia Ep1. I liked the premise, and was hoping for something along the lines of Rome, but for me, it isn't great. I doubt I'll watch another. Meh.
