I do mildly miss it being on in the UK, even if whenever I flicked it on there was some musical act going on for no very apparent reason.

Having a go at Fox for being biased is all well & good, but ALL news channels are biased, and NONE of them admit it. Watching CNN whining about Fox is like lung cancer moaning about colon cancer for being harmful. Like, duh.

That is true but other Presidents have not sat and watched these 24 hr news networks and then advocated their propaganda. Trump does not have an opinion of his own or at least not one that he advocates, his opinion seems to match that of the last person he was in the room with. Meeting with Congressional leaders over DACA and saying that they are going to do something about it and then meeting with the hardline anti-immigration advocates like Miller within his Administration and then coming out against DACA.

Obama did not sit and watch MSNBC in the morning and then start quoting them verbatim as policy ideas. So whilst you are right in that channels like MSNBC are as inherently left wing as Fox are right and CNN are so desperate to appear bipartisan that they don't take a stance on anything , the difference is the man in the Oval Office

There's a difference between being biased and being 'fake' though.

The Daily Telegraph has always had a conservative bias, just as the Guardian has always leaned left, and we interpret them accordingly. Bias is unfortunate, but inevitable. I still trust them both to have a healthy and professional journalistic respect for the facts.

I see it like this...

It's raining right now. The Telegraph might say that the rain is good because it's good for farmers and therefore good for British exports. The Guardian might say that rainfall has been higher than normal this year, which is an ominous sign of global warming. Whatever -- they will each see it through their ideological lens and put their left- or right-wing spin on it. But, crucially, they will agree that it is -- as a matter of objective fact -- raining.

By contrast, Fox News and (to a lesser extent) MSNBC have become so feverishly partisan that they are coming dangerously close to a point where they will deny that it's raining at all if that uncomfortable fact doesn't fit the narrative they've chosen to support. And that's a scary thought.

^ Hope Hicks as Communications Director is also thought to have written the initial message used by John Kelly where he said Porter was a man of integrity. How convenient. The US press are investigating Porter’s security clearance as they are curious how the White House managed papers that went to Trump as that was Porters job and should have the highest level clearance as it involves handling top secret papers. As Porter was not fully security cleared it may be that the White House have breached a major security rule which will concern both US and allies security services

In other news a Republican Paul Nehlen who wants to be a Congressman and is trying to unseat Paul Ryan has tweeted a picture of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle but replaced her face with Cheddar Man as depicted this week. Yeah the Republican Party is not at all racist! Had a look at his twitter feed and it’s full of tweets about “white victims of black crime”. He’s a big supporter of Trump so I guess Trump would say he’s a good man.

In fact it was the FBI that made it known porter was never going to get security Clearance because of the Allegations so he has been handling classified information
