And yet people persist that there is no religious undertones to this.

Nobody is really saying that, look at America, religion is playing a part in what's happening there, fear, hate, racism, all religions are abused by some to stoke tension, manipulate the weak minded and to serve an agenda, this shit has been going on for hundreds of years.

Extremists whether terrorists or these scummy cunts bastardise a religion to fit their crime, just like the KKK and Christian extremists do, these people use it as a weapon. The Bible is used by some to try to justify their bigoted view of the world, the Quran is used by others.

This isn't the fault of Islam or Muslims as a whole (despite what the media project), just like the bible and Christians aren't to blame for cults and the groups such as the KKK. A group of twisted individuals who use either outdated and/or out of context passages from religious text to justify their evil, aren't the majority, but a small minority. They are people that (as has been said already), would still find a way to do this, without religion being involved, evil people exist and will always find a way to commit evil acts.

On the subject of criminal acts the Senior Prosecutor on the BBC Politics show last week pointed out that when one Pakistani heritage grooming gang were jailed the local drug trade fell by 50%.

Of course its not the fault of every Muslim and it has been twisted to fit various peoples view just like many religions previously but the "its only a minority" is a rubbish defence. Doesn't matter how little it needs confronting. Why is there no mass outrage from the Islam community widely condemning these vile peoples actions? Saying it has no place within the Islamic community. The voice from them is deafening!!

As regards to the drug element, surprise surprise. They are criminals using their religious view and interpretations even terrorists to a degree and they were allowed to escape justice primarily because of the Political Correctness/multiculturalism BS.

Going back the events around the Telford atrocities/cover-ups what disgusted me is when I heard a few of the victims were murdered by the very scum-bag wankers that groomed them for daring to out them to the police with one of the girls killed by having her house set on fire whilst she was asleep.

I just watched the repeat of The Pledge earlier today & what I forgot to mention in my earlier post is what Maajid Nawaz alarmingly reported as regard to child grooming is that for a Pakistani/Bangladeshi population that is less than 1% of the of the UK with 84% child grooming crimes committed by men of Pakistani/Bangladeshi origin.
The alarming thing is that Telford,Rochdale & Rotherham aren't just isolated child-grooming cases & politicians,police etc have often said that these cases are just 'the tip of the ice-berg' as there are a lot more cases up & down the country.

Not wishing to state the bleeding obvious but it's up to communities & individuals no matter the faith or culture to report these appalling crimes if they see or hear anything untoward & not adopt the 3-wise monkeys approach (hear,speak,see no evil).But even more vital is that police,teachers & social services cannot no longer ignore these calls just for the sake of not upsetting communities or racial division.

At the end of the day these victims where only children (vulnerable ones at that) abused by scumbags,some of whom went back the murder their victims who should never see the outside walls of prison for the rest of their miserable existance.

Outspoken Loose Woman panelist Saira Khan a British-born Pakistani Muslim brought up by a 1st generation Pakistani family (she often pens this in her newspaper column when discussing her own culture) wrote a pretty good piece in the Sunday Mirror (which certainly is no right-wing rag) which I've posted above.

In the article Saira describes that many practices (like mysogyny,segregation of men & women,child marriages,girls are discouraged from education or careers etc) in many villages in Pakistan in which her family members live are merely assimilated into the British way of life by thousands of people in UK with no interest in integrating or accepting British values.She also adds that many men will travel back to Pakistan with the intention of getting an arranged marriage with a young woman,bring her back to the UK where they are urged not to learn the English language with the only means of communication is dialect with her in-laws.

To quote an extract from her article she says;

"I write this knowing my name will be mud by members in my own community who would rather ignore this newspaper's shocking revelation that for 40 years men of our heritage have largely been responsible for the raping,torturing & pimping out an estimated 1000 children in Telford,the worst known abuse scandal in Britain".

I have a huge amount of respect for Saira Khan (as well as fellow columnist Yasmin Alibi-Brown even though I don't agree with her politically) who are both not afraid to speak out about the unpalatable truths in their own culture even in the face of the numerous amounts of death threats they receive for daring to speak out.

The big problem is that if this child-grooming scandal isn't rooted out or seen to be rectified with these scumbags either imprisoned for a long,long time or deported then far right parties like Britain First,EDL,BNP etc will jump all on it & look to seize on many disillusioned people who want to see justice done.

Totally agree. Political Correctness and Multicultural BS which has protected these vile scumbags is what will bread the Far right because little appears to be being done about the subject.

Just out of curiosity has any of the people that you agree with, Nawaz, Khan, Alibi-Brown said that political correctness was at fault or that multiculturalism has failed and is a load of BS

The Political Correctness and Multicultural BS is more from the Police and Authorities they never investigated fully because of those things. It may not be the sole reason for it HAPPENING but they were “protected” by it. Nawaz has in the past blamed Political Correctness for why you can’t have an open fact based debate about fears without being accused of Anti Islam.

The thing about Multiculturalism is we are open to their viewpoints but they as a whole they don’t necessarily except and operate on our views, views which are of a Democratic country. Women have rights are treated equally to men. Not saying all but some don’t and won’t.

I think we would all agree that if it was a white, British/English grooming gang on the size of the Telford one they almost certainly wouldn’t have been able to “get away” with it for soo long and they shouldn’t. It’s beyond vile and disgusting. What I’m trying to say is White, Black, Asian or Arabic, pink, whatever your race, colour or religion in this country you aren’t protected in any way whether it by corruption or Political Correctness. You are held to the same criminal standings as everyone else.
