S66 have built a great roster, but failing to hire new talent a couple years ago is what probably lost them channel 903.

I surmise that it's like football. The player's wages are so high the club is perpetually on the rocks. S66 suffer more because they're the minnow to the shark that is BS. Plus there's the astronomical costs of broadcasting.
No wonder they're nervous about Ofcom, a big fine might finish them.
I wouldn't want that. I'd sooner no nip slips. Can the girls wear blouses and skirts.
It's funny, this isn't the first time I've found myself supporting the underdog.
I'm not sure about your assertion about 903 but #bring back 903

So are we to assume that s66 is losing money with the current dire situation it appears to be in?
As mentioned above the high costs of broadcasting then there are the presenters salaries, the backroom staff will want paying + the sixty6 mag folly.
Have there been any photo shoots abroad recently I wonder.

I've noticed some of the long established presenters are now doing less shifts Emma C and Lucy Ann to name a couple.
Is this the start of the end?

I just don't see how s66 can make enough cash from the phone calls and pervcam to make the books balance.

^ Why do guys keep jumping to this conclusion and reaching for the hyperbole when posters point out the dire repetition and relatively turgid appeal of much of the roster alongside largely standard operating procedures. Yes a big fine would mean big trouble for any operator but that doesn't mean they are not holding their own financially. Yes 66 couldn't make a channel work because they were quoted too high a rental fee (presumably BS were happy to pay it). The dropping of it is a responsible move in those circumstances; I don't see it as a desperate one... Would 66 have launched a pointless glossy magazine if they were on the breadline?

IMO, their night roster is largely staid because 66 feel they can't get much in the way of better babes to work to the content and the hours. Yes there's an old girls network going on there to some extent but the idea that large parts of the old guard could all be replaced with more financially successful babes is a bit of a fan fallacy IMO.

Days in particular is quite patently performing decently IMO. New recruits have been brought in. Web must be taking more than calls used too if 66 can afford to keep babes backstage for hours on end. Lucy-Anne said she cut her shifts not 66. This implies to me that she can do so because she can afford to. In others words because she was/is doing so well in making her bit.

The problem with the babeshows has always been that they can make money whilst being a bit shit folks! Tongue That's why I keep saying expect and look for more for your money.

Less resiliant operators have gone to the wall but the final 'End' has been predicted so many times by guys on here, and on liveshows in particular, and it never happens.

Good post SH. I think what we see is guys talking as fans when at times they need to stand back and think about things from a business perspective to understand better what is going on. I appreciate that most guys on here have probably never run a business but when you have I promise it makes you look at decisions being made differently.

Agree a good post SH, s66 has to make money most of all & clearly must be making plenty of money for it to launch a “pointless glossy magazine”. Plus that’s why they have adult stars like Linsey Dawn Mckenzie, Sophie Anderson, Rebecca More & Michelle Thorne on for occasional shows on s66. S66 clearly must make lots of money when they have UK & US adult stars on otherwise they would not have them on

Yes Lucy-Anne cut the amount of shifts she does on s66 herself as she’s going to be mainly focused on a new business venture selling beauty products.

And yes the demise of s66 & the shows keeps on being predicted so many times yet never happens

Sixty6 is probably a calculated risk in order to expand the S66 brand.

RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion
great posts by ShandyHand and SecretAgent and very much try in with things i have heard about 66,

i am surprised to see people still talking about 903 as thought people knew all about it at the time, 66 took 903 to stop RLC getting back on tv end of, it was a business choice to protect there position at the time as number 1 day show, and it did its job, things changed at RLC so tv was not for them anymore so 66 could let it go, and ot spend money they didn't need to,

where i disagree with ShandyHand is about the new girls, as its only about giving them time and shows to get regular callers and see the benefit for this in the future, its something bs has done very well this last year and they are seeing the benefits now, new girls minutes will be up and down compared to the old guard but this will change given time, something they did not do,
also there has been to much protecting the old guard a good example is who ever has the best minutes at midnight is meant to get freeview yet i hear the freeview slots given to the old guard girl to boost her mins instead of helping the new girl to push on,

one other thing as far as i know a lot the money for the mag is coming from different places to the money for the tv show so not sure how much it success or not is affecting the amount of money they have to use on the tv show

currently walking on the Sunny side of the street

Will be a repeat tonight with Ella I Can't Show My Bare Ass Jolie, and Lola who's currently doing the best slow motion performances out of all the channels.

Prediction for tonight: Lola in the office or couch set, mostly topless only, no nude POV, sloooowwwww moooootiioooonnn. Ella on a bed or chair set, anything to help her sit and do nothing for the entire night, topless only, boring shite.

ZZZZZZZZZZ

Looking forward to what Babestation has to offer.

RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion
Thank you winsaw for the extra perspective you always bring to these things.

I think night babes hitting consistency with their figures is the key. But I take your point that the newbies are deserving of greater efforts to help them integrate. I have always said we need good fresh faces.

I have the feeling the surviving operators have learnt to be quite conservative in the way they operate though - only innovating and changing when they feel they really need to. (Look how long it took us to get HD for instance.) That said, I agree 66 should find a way to do what BS have done here. 66's night shows are in desperate need of new blood from a regular viewer's perspective.

I hear what you're saying on the mag's funding too. But I still feel it is just something a failing brand would not be venturing into. (Btw, do you also consider that we should read nothing into the tardiness of the latest issue?)

As far as 903 goes, winsaw and I have spoken on this a few times in the past and I agree that RLC was likely the main factor in 66 getting into 903. But I have to say I think it was only a part of why they got out. You have to add in teewee's comments about 66 looking for a replacement channel and that fact that even now they continue to over schedule babes for the daytime hours. I think 66 and their babes got used to the income from 903 and wanted it to continue but not at the price TVX wanted. Hence they are still after another fourth channel apparently.

Finally, I'd like to ask winsaw if he'd agree with my gut feeling that the main three operators are in a better financial position now than they were a couple of years back? (If RLC can seemingly recover from their serious woes and the other threadbare web operators can apparently eke out a survival their must be something in that air surely?)

RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion
Let's have another positivity check.
I like Studio 66 because: (in no particular order)

It's sensual and sometimes sexy.
The publish a schedule a week ahead.
It's on Freeview.
The set is appealing. Almost space age, I particularly like that STUDIO66 is written down the back wall.
The camera is positioned close to the presenter.
They keep on trying new things.
They have a chatroom and the gallery take part.
They have a magazine and social media.
The place is run by a chap with vast experience of the industry who does his best for employees and customers alike.
The OSG are restricted to the bottom of the screen and clearly show the name of the presenter. There is not other sales offers on view.
On the web there are no OSG.
There are no games going on that demean humanity.
On pervecam a dedicated chatroom is employed.
They have sometimes six or more presenters on at once sometimes some apparently working from home.
Sometimes they have two presenters on together.
They are called to account far less by Ofcom in comparison to say sundry local radio programmes.
The programmes can be viewed on line without logging on.
On VLC their feed remains viewable whereas others either don't work or requires adjustment.
They have a varied audio track, some of the songs I find myself singing in the bath and all is original material.
Their presenters range from attractive to requiring obsessive following.
It looks like a fun place to work where they get on so well that they socialise together.
They've just had their ninth birthday.
By and large it's free.
They hold their own against larger rivals.
Their producers listen to our wishes.
They have started several new presenters.
Britain makes the world's best TV so potentially it's the best babe channel....in the world.
There is virtually no age discrimination.
There is is no discrimination shown concerning sexual orientation, race, marital status, body type or religion.
They were ready to employ a presenter forced through illness to be absent for several months.
They pay their taxes in this country.
So interesting is their business that we follow their work in our excellent forum.

RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion
I think the big unknown with S66 is that because they are not a publicly listed company (I didn't think) we don't know the state of the finances. Cellcast we know are in the shit because of a crap investment and a cull of board members (sorry "restructuring" Big Laugh ). As Winsaw noted they may well have seperate funding lines for the mag but if all lines go through Mr S66 then if one goes so will the other.

The other thing is that you are assuming there are rational business decisions behind retention of the old guard and the mag. I have a good friend who 30 years ago came up with a good business idea and became an entrepreneur. Since then his business decisions have been absolute shite and he's run 4 companies into bankrupcy. As you see on the likes of Dragons Den, the vast majority of business people are fuckwits and chancers BUT every now and again they can get lucky. I think the likes of cellcast and S66 fall into the lucky category. S66 does look like an ego trip rather than a viable business

I think somebody talked about S66 having 8 babes on at any one time as a good thing; a quick glance at MFC shows there are currently 952 models on line. They have so missed the multi channel boat. If TV revenues continue to die they are just too tiny to survive with the likes of MFC, Chatterbate and AW if they have to rely on webcam revenue.
So I struggle to see where the channels go.
