RE: Review of last night's show
Interesting your take on Dannii's long stint Trains...
10th May Babenation.
22:00 Ashley was wearing a flattering black bra and skimpy thong. She also had new shoes that she seemed to take pleasure in unwrapping on screen, to go along with the new look - her hair now straightened. She was smoking - not literally obviously as that would be breaking some law or other.
She started off slow, laying on her front on the desk. She looked very relaxed and inviting. At 22:18 there was a surprise - she removed her thong as the camera was quickly adjusted to a top-half close-up. I always thought there was a rule against this before 11pm, maybe she did it for a caller or pervcam request? Whatever, she was in no hurry to put it back on, even when the camera view pulled out so we could all see - there was no hiding it.
At 22:30 it was back on, but only up to mid thigh. Sometimes it's the small things that make a big difference, as at this time one bra strap had slipped down off her shoulder - a terrific combination of innocence and the erotic. Five minutes later the bra came off. Ashley was naked for a while then (apart from the new shoes!), before the thong went back on so she could get on her hands and knees and allow for full body views.
At 23:00 Ashley distinctly said on the mic that now she could get naked, which she did (again). This was a bit confusing (see above), but was welcome all the same. Around 23:20 she indulged us in a bit of bum exercise, flexing each cheek while kneeling up on the desk - a delightful moment. At 23:40 she now stood up, with plenty of front and rear facing views. She finished at midnight.
Now I have a dilemma: anyone willing to do two or more hours in one stint takes a risk. On the one hand it's a brave thing to do, to try to sustain a show over that length of time. But it's hard to keep the energy up for that long, meaning there's a chance it will drop away at times. There's also another aspect to consider - the need to give callers and web punters what they want, diverting the attention away from the screen performance. Ultimately, this review is about the show - the level of enticement someone shows on screen, and how engaged I feel towards her while watching. To do that for 2 hours or more continuously is a big ask.
To write these reviews I watch the show live - no cheating fast-forwarding through a recording. At times last night I was thoroughly engaged in what was going on on-screen, but there were occasions when my mind wandered a bit. Ashley spent a lot of time laying down, to pace herself I suppose, which detracted from the overall feel of the show. I think it's something very difficult to avoid when on for this length of time. Maybe staying on for this long without a break is a mistake - something no-one could truly master (I am happy to be proved wrong about this in future). I applaud Ashley for giving it a try, and I hope this doesn't read too negatively. Of course, it might be that she had no say in the matter, in which case, "Good on you girl!"
