Street Fighter 1 is rock hard and Street Fighter 2 is so slow lol.

Street Fighter has to be worse fighting ever made it’s terrible avoid, poor controls so you can’t pull out moves, the AI is garbage.

Fifa 18;World Cup Mode (PS4).

In anticipation for the upcoming World Cup in the next few days (& the inevitable under-achievement of another England campaign) I dusted off my copy of Fifa 18 in which World Cup 2018 comes as a free 5GB patch to see if I could fair any better than the over-paid prima-donas can.

In truth playing Fifa 18 Ultimate Team for several months last year (& grinding out over 500 games) I went from quite liking the game to hating the game with a passion.I found the new shooting had dramatically improved from previous years & was nearly on par with PES but everything else about playing the beautiful game just sucked.Many negatives primarily from controlling a squad of weak,injury-prone players that cannot stand up in a 10mph wind let alone endure a shoulder-barge without getting knocked off the ball or getting frequently injured.From poor passing, poor AI (particularly team-mates) totally inept defending (defenders act more like lost sheep than defenders),clumsily loose ball control,lagging/delayed controls & totally non-existent tackling.More infuriatingly the game has the most corrupt/biased refereeing decisions (particularly when playing against the computer on levels World Class & above).Also just to mention the problem servers that frequently turn off during mid-match & have the audacity to penalize you for it (even if you complete a match on the winning side it still has you recorded as having lost the game due to problem servers).

Put simply I found Fifa 18 a flawed,corrupt,mess of a game (there were huge rumours that Fifa rig the results of matches before they begin) so I inevitably didn't hold much hope for the World Cup 18 to be any better considering it was an update patch.In fairness the presentation as with all Fifa games is spot on with the authentic real-match feel about it.When initially starting in Ultimate Team you are given a random squad of players from various countries & your task is to win the World Cup.You can acquire players from winning various games or like Fifa 18 Ultimate Team you can buy your way to better players (with real money)in essence which the game expects you to do if you want to progress against other players online (who will have likes of Messi,Ronaldo,Neymar etc which are virtually impossible to get in random loot-boxes you get for free).

Graphically the likenesses of players have been updated (Mo Salah now has his big 'fro unlike the cropped hair he has been sporting in the game all year which many players complained to Fifa about funnily).In truth the game hasn't learned the error from it's ways from the main game where passing,defending,ball control are still awful.The only slight improvement I found are that players aren't quite so injury prone like they are in the main game (they still can't hold off a shoulder barge though).Team AI is still as thick as mince like in the main game (they continue to run in offside positions a well as giving needless freekicks & penalties away).

In 3 attempts I won the World Cup 3 times (on World Class Difficulty) but in the same knockout stages I faced the same teams in each World Cup; Germay in the Quarters ,Brazil in the Semi's,France in the Final (there's no game variety it seems).I also won a dozen or so online matches against other players & tbh I'm at the point where I've seen everything the mode has to offer & needn't play it again.

Instead of a standalone game Fifa opted to include the World Cup Mode onto Fifa 18 as a free patch & tbh it was easy to see why as the game is pretty hollow with only one thing to do (win the World Cup).In essence this mode is a stripped down version of the main Fifa 18 Ultimate Team.5/10.

Overall found the game disappointing pretty much the same game every year and they tweak it and as for the AI terrible.
