RE: Supergirl
3.21 Well, after the cliffhanger ending to last week, a surprisingly quick resolve to the season (for now). And Kara decides to sod off home and be normal. Clearly her media watching over the years failed to note that every time a superhero tries to chuck in their old life, it's totally doomed (eg the Thing in that Fantastic 4 film, Superman 2, you name it).
With precious minutes of the series running out, we get a sub-plot about America's over-use of guns. Whoa, controversy. Presumably the finale involves discovering that guns are useful things to have around after all.
And finally, someone tries to kill Kara, because otherwise she'll never work out who the baddies are. Oh, and they didn't lock up their spaceship. D'oh! Still, it's another cliff-hanger, so let's see...

RE: Supergirl
3.22 Well, this was a mixture, a lot happened, but sometimes very slowly. I did like the idea of using the transmat to get home: "The DEO still have a transmat", yeah yeah, they saved the set from last year. It's interesting that Jonn is AWOL with his dad whilst the DEO is getting trashed. Winn's special belt seemed likely to backfire, though it was surprisingly done.
I complained at the "cook up your own World-killer" plot a few weeks back; much as I like Superman IV, this seems really a naff plan, even down to "well it's Sam's DNA" so let's get the actress on double duty one more time.
The big ending seems a bit abstract - maybe too many elements chasing each other round. I've given up hope on Psi making a return (though this still feels like the best series of the 3 at this point, I do wonder at the number of loose ends which haven't featured (yet?)). Maybe she escaped when Jonn's dad went nuts and let everyone out of the DEO? Or maybe the writers just weren't bothered? Hmm...
I won't be sorry to stop seeing those TUI ad breaks, that's for sure...

RE: Supergirl
3.23 Well, how about that, only a week slow from transmission to watching this. A vague indicator of how good I found this series, easily the best of the 3.
The last episode was a bit frenetic, either lots happening or not lots. Mirren (sic) seemed to put things right quickly, but not as quickly as Kryptonian vision to fix cracks in skyscrapers (!) Then we have Sam getting closure with her Earth mother (aw). The big fight seemed a bit lop-sided, inasmuch as Reign battles Supergirl without once trying to scratch her with her Pestilence claws, and in fact only does the Purity blast as an after-thought. I paused it last night after what amounts to a false ending, so I was a bit bemused to see things put right (in a nod to the 1st Superman film) to set up another person-to-clone showdown.
Then it was just "I've done 3 years and my career needs a change", (my money's already on this Brainiac being the evil one in disguise, but then I've expected more complicated plot twists in most episodes than what actually happened), and a kooky few hints for next year (I did note that supposedly dippy Miss Tessmacher was suddenly upgraded in previous weeks as Igor to Lena's Fronkensteen). I guess we'll have to wait and see (until K-E starts telling us in advance again )

RE: Supergirl
The finale didn't exactly go how I wanted it but given the nature of the TV show I always expected that. Throughout the season I was hoping that Sam would die and Alex would foster Ruby, when Supergirl killed Reign and she took Sam, Mon-El & Alura with her I was stunned, I never thought a light hearted B show would go to that place and of course it didn't. I tend to gravitate to storylines and themes that are dark and so had I been doing the show I would of kept all 3 of them dead and Season 4 would be Kara having to deal with the aftermath that breaking her code and killing Reign lead to the death of 3 people, how it affects her, how she deals with it and how she eventually comes to terms with it but that really isn't this shows angle and it probably wouldn't work with the fanbase and would of been a failure so its just as well I am not a Producer
Anyway I still enjoy the show and as someone who was raised by Star Trek The Next Generation and Captain Picard I do believe in the "better way" morals of Supergirl when it comes to real life, it's just that sometimes in fiction you would to deviate from that for purely to indulge a fantasy
If i could find a girl that had the looks of Gal Gadot, breasts of Sophie Mudd with Demi Rose's ass, the personality of Jessica Ennis, the grace of Kendall Jenner on the red carpet and then behind closed doors the raw sexual energy of Nicole Snow i'd know i was dead and gone to heaven, so i'll just take Demi Rose's ass and Nicole's sexual energy
