This shouldn't be a surprise; Lamestation seems to be little more than a CAM service these days, so their business model is aimed squarely in that direction...
Thing is they don't even follow the basic principles of marketing in this.
"A brand that is consistent and clear puts the customer at ease because they know exactly what to expect each and every time they experience the brand."
^ So says marketing 101. BS seem to be taking this at its word - or at least at the worst aspects of it - in producing stultifying, completely predictable and, to use snookered's quite apposite word, processed shows. The shows today are to luciously enticing female nudity and erotic seduction what tins of spam rolling off a production line are to cordon bleu cooking.
The channels now pump out more formalic and weak material than at any other point in their history. Your average mainstream customer should be at his ease with the modern show alright as he'll most likely have been sent to the land of nod by the borefest shankey describes - served up by most babes night after night. For entertainment that is supposed to revolve around evoking sexual excitement in its customers this is the worst sin going.
But not content with setting records for most boredom inducing sessions, the night shows have then too throughly ignored the positive aspects of the brand advice that led off my post. In an overwhelming effort to accommodate the growing power of their onscreen talent the operators have forgotten who they are supposed to be prioritising in putting together their services. Look at the shows with an eye towards this and the punter will see numerous ways the operators bend over backwards for babes in order to keep them sweet and bringing in the cash - wholly to the detriment of their output. Consider...
• Babes these days are allowed (neigh encouraged) to do virtually any level of content on a night show below the level it is traditionally known for. (Punters can go hang if they go in expecting any different on this.)
• Babes are allowed to serve up anything they like on cam for any price. (Punters can swivel if the think this is lacking in consistency or is confusing.)
• Babes are allowed to fake cam content. (Because this is no different to the normal faked emotions right? Damned right it is.)
• Babes are allowed to give different guys different levels of content, performance and service for the same price. (Punters can do one if they think this is woefully variable in terms of VFM.)
• While on TV babes will decide whether they will prioritise caller or cammer in a manner that cannot be predicted by either user. (Punters are damned as asking for way too much if they expect babes to please every interactor - sorry, didn't we SAY you were spending at the wrong time!)
• Babes are allowed to def one customer for another if they see fit. (BS inventing exclusive ways to piss off the punter.)
• Babes are allowed to swear off long delivered levels of content to protect their investment in a outside business. (At least babe and Only Fans benefits while the babeshow punter wonders wtf is going on eh!)
• Babes are allowed to use any old tech when camming from home. (What? You want technical standards?!)
There is just none of the consistency and welcoming safe hands of service in any of this that the marketing bods proclaim as necessary in their advice. Instead the channels proporgate an every man for himself attitude that just fails to foster good relations with their customers at every turn.
It is in fact, quite remarkable how the channels (but particularly BS) have managed to create the worst of both worlds in terms of brand predictability: The aspects of the shows that are supposed to be creative and freewheeling are dull, turgid and repetitive. The aspects that are supposed to reassure the punter with its predictability are variable and unreliable.
In affect the babes lead all on the shows. Whatever way you look at it they are driving too much of the service instead of it being dictated by the desires of the punter. Like the cart leading the horse, it's no wonder they channels are often seen as going backwards. They are unprincipled in the vision they put forward. They are masters at the art of deinsentivising.
