Apparently the lease was for several years, renewed fairly recently, so although Nike are no longer tenants, the deal they struck means that their new landlord covers the cost of the Trump rent, so he is still quids in. He seems to be losing his shit now though, but it'll be yet another distraction from the real issue.

This doesn't actually make alot of sense to me. I mean, what has this guy gained from this? He hasn't told us anything surprising really, or anything much that people wouldn't already get from Bob Woodward's book.
And now he's going to be hunted down like a dog. He's going to be very effectual at reining in Trump from the gutter outside the Whitehouse Rolleyes

Trump however, gains everything from this...

1. He gets to play the victim.
2. He gets 'evidence' to support his Deep State conspiracy theories.
3. He gets to accuse the NYT of treason (however ridiculous that is).
4. All the other 'adults in the room' will now be shit scared to try and contradict Trump for fear of being accused of writing the column.

It's a win, win for Trump.

I'm wondering if the NYT has been played here...
