RE: Everything 80's
I don't remember Judith Hann doing the Great Egg Race let alone this Hilary Heston, but yes Judith did go on to present Tomorrow's World along with Maggie Philbin from Swap Shop fame. This archive courtesy of andyjb looks amazing and I cannot wait to plonk myself down on a chair and watch some of these when I have some spare time.

Just had a look on this link:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/great_egg_race/
Charlotte Allen is listed as a presenter, so it's probably her.
Looks remarkably like Judith though with the 80's hair.
Don't think I saw many of them progs 'cos I was working shifts till late about 10pm.
But I remember Heinzz Wolf from another programe, that is buried deep in my mental archives, but right now I am conquering Eastern Europe, so I can't recall.
Don't forget Tara's on in 2 mins, that's if the schedule is right.
Enjoy.

Speaking of Heinz Wolff, The Sun newspaper once published his obituary because they thought he had died. This of course was the main tabloid people turned to for their in-depth news coverage and sport...oh yes and a lovely pair of tits on page 3

RE: Everything 80's
Now here is a blast from the past-do you remember when you first got a home computer? There were loads on the market but the leaders became the BBC Micro Model A & B and the ZX Spectrum, the first colour computer for under £100(£99.95 to be precise); also available were the Oric Atmos, Dragon32 and the Commodores' Vic 20 and C64. Which one did you have? I got into computers watching the BBC's Making the Most of the Micro and The Computer Programme programmes. I was fascinated how this machine, just by typing some simple words and seeing it appear on a television screen or monitor would do all sorts of amazing things. I first came into contact with computers when my sisters' then boyfriend bought his ZX Spectrum(rubber keyboard) around and left me with it for hours. I was hooked. I also remember the very first computer I saw available was on HOW! with Jon Miller one of the presenters showing how the ZX 81 worked.

I remember that machine. I had a ZX Spectrum-I still have it, the proper keyboard version and loads of games on tapes-remember that, being able to save your stuff on music cassette tape and using a tape recorder to load games and utilities, sometimes waiting up to five minutes-can you imagine that happening with the youth of today who want things loaded in seconds with amazing graphics and sound. We thought 48k was amazing, drop in the ocean today. The best game I used to play loads of times was SPYHUNTER with a Kempston joystick. Later I also got the AMX mouse, the first time I had seen one. I also have a simulator on my PC which lets me play those self same games again.
