That's the aspect about OF that really puts me off subscribing to any gal's page. The photos/vids could be really shit quality, badly shot, or heavily censored, and yet there's nothing you can do about it. Especially when so many of the 'babes' are conniving shysters.

Like everything else around us, it has a price.

The most interesting statistic would be the current TV viewing figures for the channels, which probably never goes above 250k on a good night.

If a girl is smart enough and works really hard, they don't need to be on a channel anymore.

Going viral on the internet will garner them way more exposure and other potential revenue streams than just being on a channel will in this era.

Take your point, but, for example, Demi Rose is in on the Daily Mail website/app most days and is in a different league (in terms of media exposure) to most channel girls. Appreciate Alice and Ashley have ‘appeared’ in mainstream media but more due to their other halves antics!

I just can’t imagine OF will provide sufficient income if they are not on TV regularly to get in front of new fans. Of course, I may be completely wrong as I have no idea of the financial figures involved lol

There have been lots of comments on this forum over the years slagging channels off for trying to monetise everything and reducing the quality of "free to air" programming. In this latest kerfuffle about Openfans I think most comments have been critical of S66's approach but understanding of the fact that it's logical for them to want to control girls usage of OF when they are on screen being paid by S66 and wanting a cut of earnings if they are providing "free advertising". Having there own S66 Onlyfans platform has been stated a number of times.

I find it curious that in this case it is the girls who are seeking to monetise fan interaction but there has been almost no criticism of them on here.

Double standards by us?

^I suppose you could say that maybe we do have double standards on this issue in many ways , but I think many of us feel the studio's approach is one that 1) could have easily been avoided - and 2) taking money from the girls as they are we perceive to be unfair on their terms. as it is money the girls are making OFF SCREEN and in their own time.

^^^^^ Interesting point although I’d say there would be less of a problem with the girls making money directly themselves rather than S66 acting as an intermediary and taking an ‘unfair’ cut. In this case the girls are the sole attraction in terms of OF content and interaction, S66 need not be involved

Except they have been updating OF whilst on screen and with content taken in the S66 studio so no it's not true to say all the money they have been earning is through off screen and in their own time effort.

The point I am making though is why so little criticism of girls monetising fan interaction when all the channels have been slagged off when they have done it?

Instead of publishing that magazine (if they still do?) Wouldn't they be better providing their own exclusive pictures for their own OF account? How many people are unwilling to subscribe to any single girls account because that is all you will get? If they priced it right and people knew they were going to get a mixture of exclusive S66 glossy pictures and videos it could be a successful sideline. Let the girls have their own accounts if they wish, and as a compromise make all the professional S66 pictures exclusive to the S66 account.
As for girls taking selfies on the set etc, this should never happen anyway because they shouldn't be allowed personal phones whilst working regardless. Of course the girls will promote their own accounts, but that doesn't mean S66 can't find ways to promote their own.
It just seems like the most logical answer so that everybody gets a piece of something and has equal opportunity. Surely that has to be a better investment than that magazine also?

The money they'd save IF they shut down the magazine could be re invested in creating dynamic new sets new cameras then once that's all paid off and working to perfection the set about the OF project. But to me it seems S66 were likely no mood to reach a compromise.
