So admin is that a yes or no on the chatbox then? I know that not a lot of people have replied to this to say whether it would be a good idea or not but thats maybe because not everyone knows what it would be like.I have used the chatboxes on other forums and I'm fairly sure that if we did have one here that everyone would use it and like it.So I hope you are seriously considering putting one on here.

Well I see what you mean by that but I don't think that it would affect the amount of posts that much.If people want to post pics,make a point about something etc then they will always use the forums.The chatbox would just be there to allow other users who are online to have a general chat with other.There can be problems with spammers posting random nonsense but I don't think thats reason enough not to have one.

Chatroom/shoutbox stuff is for real time chat (well actually chatroom is, shoutbox is sort of a halfway house)
To be honest I'd suggest they are a waste of time unless you are going to start arranging times when people come to the forum at the same time for a chat. Oh and if you go for a shoutbox make sure posts are purged once reaching a certain age otherwise you'll slowly wonder where all your server disk quota is going if it gets used a lot
