It was only a matter of time after the Syria announcement, everyone knows the withdrawal of troops is a bad idea, a general (can't remember his name), said on tv the other day that they were something like 20% through training, so clearly not ready for this.
He's fulfilling a campaign promise and not considering the consequences, it's utterly ridiculous.

Trump described it as retirement - Mattis simply said he was stepping down. His comments about treating allies with respect and having over 40 years experience are damning as are his comments about China and Russia.

This resignation is causing widespread concern as it removes the last remaining adult voice that Congress thought could temper the wilder military moves that Trump might make. All eyes will be on who he nominates to replace Mattis and that person can expect his Senate Hearings to be a tough examination of how he will manage Trump.

Its clear Putin has old Trumpy by the short and curlies, wake up America.

Interesting to see Mattis say he was honoured to serve the Troops & Nation but not the current "Commander in Chief".

He’s just given a speech and included in his comments that one of the things they have a problem with at the border is coyotes. Yep a $5Bn wall to stop coyotes.
