RE: Fascinating Facts and Trivia
This is a bit of a Planes, Trains and Automobiles trivia built around speed!!!

The Fastest Plane is The North America X-15. (4,520 mph).
The X-15 is a hypersonic rocket powered aircraft. It's top speed is 6.7 mach, 7,274 km/h (4,520 mph).
The X-15 set speed and altitude records in the 1960's by test pilot William J.Knight. It flew at Mach 6.72 at 102,100 feet and the record has remained unchallenged as of December 2018.

The Fastest Train is The Shanghai Maglev. (267 mph).
The worlds fastest train isn't the newest, the shiniest, or even the one with the most expensive tickets. The Maglev runs the nearly 19 miles from Shanghai's Pudong International Airport to The Longyang Metro Station on the outskirts of Shanghai in just over 7 minutes with the top speed of 267 mph. It uses magnetic levitation (Maglev) technology.

The Fastest Car is The Hennessy Venom F5. (301 mph)
It can reportedly go from 0 to 249 to 0 mph in less than 30 seconds. Hennessy has yet to confirm it's top speed with Guinness Book Of Records, so the 'Koenigsegg Agera RS remains the official fastest car in the world for now, which boasts 278 mph, a lot slower than The Hennessy Venom, however on public roads The Koenigsegg Agera did reach a speed of 284.55 mph on it's first run and 271.19 mph on it's second run, which averages at 277.9 mph.

Last bit of Chrimble trivia. Did you know it is a modern superstitition that it is unlucky to keep your decorations, cards and trees around after 6th January- apparently they used to be left up all through the Winter months up to February. Mind you we've ,lost that excitement after 1st January so it is probably better to take everything down.

Happy New Year to all on here. I hope 2019 turns out to be a good one for you. I'll leave you for now with this little thing:
Toy Story's Buzz Lightyear was going to be called Lunar Larry, which was one of the names bandied about in the original idea for the character and Woody was going to be Tinny!! Thank god they changed those. Big Grin

It is said that you must take down your Christmas decorations by Twelfth Night otherwise you must leave them up until Shrove Tuesday, when you take them down, burn them and cook your pancakes over the flames Surprised
