The London Studios - Home of the Stars
ITV says goodbye to a building it's used for 47 years with a rather now-centric tribute show, though bonus points for bringing in & on the 89 year old Dickie Davies.

A great look back at some of the great vent acts from yesteryear, the best of the bunch, for me anyway being the utterly brilliant Ray Allen and Lord Charles.
Mostly entertaining, though they oversold the Dodd interview. Also no Nina Conti. Getting Little & Large is some compensation, but not much.

After many, many years of claims that they didn't win over America because Ed Sullivan was stuffy and so on, it turns out he was so supportive he even joined in a sketch to make them look good.

Putting the films into this context gives them a better hearing than just "oh they were crap". Also it's clearer that Eric was the real problem with them breaking the USA, comic genius or not. Or did history prove him right?

Britain's Favourite - Chocolate
Amusing Top 20 rundown, somehow omitting Curlywurly, Wagon Wheels, Lion, Twirl, Rolos and Walnut Whips, for starters.

How the British helped Spain improve its rail network, so Spain now has lovely efficient high-speed trains and we don't. Thanks a lot, Brexit Rolleyes
